April Fools is in April, Riot. Not November.
This was fun and all, but seriously, roll back these changes and give us the real changes you have hidden somewhere.

I still believe this patch was a sick joke that accidently made it to the live servers...how can anyone enjoy this?
try watching twitch, and the spectator wheel while in the game menu, try watch how other ppl are playin your favorite champs. I used to think APC's are really shitty and tanks are really shitty cuz all the nerfs/ buffs but they're still strong in their own way. just watch you will see what i mean
I've watched streams of the PBE and played on it myself. In both situations I thought these changes were awful. Upon reaching Live, this patch has shown me that it's even worse than I thought.
do you only like to play squishy mages or super tanky tanks? i mean in that case yeah... but not only ADC"s are shining, pretty much all ad's right now are shining, or tanky AP's and tanks with the new masteries are still strong even if in long engagements they aren't as strong as last patch. AD casters are starting to play a role now more so than before. you start seeing talon now days and rengar more frequently. Jungle opened up many options too. Let me ask you what are the things that you don't like that are related to your playstyle that screw you over into not liking it?
I'm an ADC main and I hate just about everything this patch brought.
you have to worry about positioning more, but you also get cool a cool new playstyle.. ithought ADC's loved this patch >.>
I should love this patch because my role is broken overpowered? How is that healthy for the game? Why should I encourage that? But it's not just ADCs who broke with the new patch, we warned Riot about the obvious threat of Yasuo, Graves, Trynd, Windspeaker, Warlord's, the lazy masteries as a whole, the over-emphasis on crit and lifesteal, etc. but nothing mattered and they barfed this monstrosity out anyway regardless of negative and / or concerned feedback.
PBE is for spotting bugs and such, they don't take balance suggestions from it.
The whole patch is a bug..
Preseasons are always the testing grounds for new features so they can get balanced based on the feedback of the WHOLE community, excluding the loud, whiny crabasses. That's why none of it changed from PBE to Public.
What about the people who give good, constructive feedback about this being a bad idea.. they aren't whiny. They want a healthy game.
How white is your knight armor?
What about the people who give good, constructive feedback about this being a bad idea.. they aren't whiny. They want a healthy game.
And those get applied to patches during the preseason to make sure it's all fine tuned when the next season hits.
How white is your knight armor?
You're joking right? [slayer-jinx-unamused]
It doesn't take a genius to know that this has been done before by Riot, this is practically annual, Riot makes preseason of the next season and implement stuff, it starts off terrible and gets tuned to be more in-line, this has been a thing with each season, just because I'm not joining your circlejerk of people who don't think for long enough to figure that out really doesn't make me a white knight, if anything, I don't even like how Riot works, I can't be arsed to go into a pub until things get atleast a little fixed in preparation of the new season with these changes, but I know that by the time it happens, shit's gonna be fine again. And I'd personally prefer not having to grind through tons of games to get ONE champion from the 6300 range without having to shell out actual damn money for RP.
So please, for the sake of all the sane people around you on the boards, shut your dripping, stupid gob and educate yourself a little BEFORE you complain about things Riot is doing, kay? Cause yeah, they make things not fun for a while, but that's how you get good feedback to make those changes actually good. PBE isn't a good enough place to get good feedback from, or we'd have something similar to the 'Juggernaut Incident' again. [slayer-pantheon-rainbows]
Honestly how long have you been playing? It doesn't take a historian to see Riot has a history of not giving a shit about player concerns and things end up broken. They're left wondering "Oh wow, what happened?" The juggernaut catastrophe was a direct result of them finally listening to the community for once, and then the end times were upon us. That's one fucking instance where this backfired. ONE!
I'd like to point out too with the very unpopular opinion that this could have been avoided if discussion of balance was gated by rank. Gold? Plat? No idea, but when you go into the PBE where it's like you're playing against intermediate bots that have no clue what's strong and what isn't you had better believe I'm panicked when they now have a heavy say in the outcome of patches. That makes me a terrible person for saying it, but frankly I don't give a shit. When outrage over champion strength or weakness / item balance is drowned out by the Leave Britney Alone posters who only post about how exciting new content is, what's the point in even trying to make your voice heard? There needs to be a gated discussion of gameplay and balance on the PBE to prevent this.
I've educated myself plenty. I started playing this game 3 and half years ago and this is setting itself up to be by far the worst state of health and balance I've personally seen. This all could have been avoided. That's all I'm going to say.

I think the juggernaut apocalypse has been overstated, and at some point, we're all going to look back and say "Yeah, it was bad, but we probably overreacted." Were they too strong? Absolutely, for a few reasons (new kits, new items, etc.), but ultimately all reasons that could be easily brought into line. I think Garen is still too strong because of his synergy with Black Cleaver, but that's just me. As a class.... they're manageable. No hypermobility. No egregious CC. Objectively average objective control. Contrast this with preseason changes to ADC though.... what we have here is not manageable, and Riot is either going to:
^This is me
The game feels terrible as an adc main currently... even the "overpowered" adc's aka graves have weird new mechanic that make no sense (buckshot/whatever its called now doesn't hit on contact with an enemy champ instead bounces around then fires back at you doing damage to everything in its path... oh unless u hit a wall behind your target)(yes mf/cait etc got upgrades also but.... the new adc items make itemization worse IMO (need 4 items to do the damage 3 would do before the patch.... and what game have you been in where the adc carries ... 95% of my games have been bruisers (junglers/top/and quin) face-rolling... Here's me hoping a lot of "new" changes are coming soon LOL... I felt the game was amazing before the patch and now i don't even want to que up for norms/ranked (aram here I come)... As an ADC main I in no way felt adc's needed a "buff" before this patch and why they went down this path idk (update ADC's that were "lacking" dont change a proven/accepted playstyle).... awful patch
I still believe this patch was a sick joke that accidently made it to the live servers...how can anyone enjoy this?
Honestly I think the direction of all the changes (except minions and tower damage) was really good.
The numbers are just horribly unbalanced.
Welcome to pre-season. It is like this every single year.
Last year Jungle was unplayable, now it's the whole damned game.
your runes are probably awful, you probably don't know how to jungle at all.. not even basics. if you want help, ask.
Or it could be Riot messed up.. shock sharp inhale Say it isn't so!! I can go snowball hard early.. and mid.. and late.. as Volibear.. yet my dumb teammates think they don't build anything in the shape of defense because "that isn't how Riot wants us to play" - Yasuo with 20 deaths. Yup. riot screwed up.
These are new changes, this is the beginning of the patch people are on broken glass right now, everything is screwy as people start understanding more.Funny how plats/diamonds/master/challenger are having a good time.. all the lowbies are mad about this patch though. The people with more understanding of the game are fine, the lower experienced guys that demand casual easy WoW-like game play are crying even when I explain to people in depth what the patch is doing they still QQ all day. they're irrationally blind it's really sad.. eventually all these "I QUIT THE GAME FK YOU RIOT" will com eback when they watch pros play the game out the way the patch changed it to be. This is not your standard AP Mid, bruiser/tanky top /tank jungle /tank support or healer support meta anymore. AD caster/assassins and nerf to AP is changing the meta. everyone cries for something idfferent then they get it and cry some more.
Really? S5 and from what i recall S4, they were nothing XD. I thought it went a lot smoother compared to preseason S6. S5 and S4 pre were bad, but not as bad as i recall. S4 pre i know i barely played. S5 pre i recall well, there were some very broken champs. And bugs, client problems, gameplay problems, etc, but not as many balance issues XD
This season is more about balance issues, than performace or bugs (still many bugs, but not as many).
Whoever riot let sign off on this patch needs to be fired. Ruined the game for me.
Perhaps this is this years "Harrowing Event..."
Well they said ingame events aren't bound to the actual calendar so it might be it.
Honestly this feels more like a new game type more than a pre-season... like minds well have been urf for ADCs... you think i'm joking, but seriously if i recall correctly ADCs got 100% attack speed and like 20% bouns crit damage in urf or something along those lines...
You're almsot literally playing against URF adcs right now
Actually this patch is a joke...
Mandatory post that goes on to insulting the op and telling him that this is the real patch.
Mandatory joke over your head meme.
I agree with this, seriously please give AP champs a chance again...
Actually, URF is in April so if Riot thinks April Fools is in November, then Riot must think November is actually April.
So if Riot thinks it is April, they will bring back URF again. You know the drill boys.
TBH I resented this patch like the majority of people, I like tank and bruiser champs.. they're still strong just not as strong esp if you stacking armor + health items 24/7. AP tanks are stronger than ever before. You just have to plan things out more, thats the secret to this patch.. you need to do a lot of planning. If you know you cant win your lane. alter your mastery/build/summoners, etc. If you know you can win, go for aggressive plays and try to snowball. it's always been this kind of way but even more so now. because of towers, items, global gold, summoner spell CDR etc. Even need to plan out builds and adapt, canot use the same shit every game(or atleast not in most games)

And yet assassins and adcs can trash over everyone because they get a cheap EARLY last whisper. While mages sit there getting everything they have nerfed.
well last whisper is only 30% of BONUS armor. it's not as crazy as everyone is making it out to be, sure its cheap but you sac attack speed for it. Full AP mages no defensive stat mages got nerfed.. tanky mages and defensive mages got buffed. It's never been a better time to be a vlad, swain, elise, eve, etc... but true the squishy mages got nerfed their gold costs have skyrocketed. I Dont even think its worth it to go rabadons anymore on tanky mages. Rylais + liandry's + Deathfire is rreally strong. bruiser mages. but there are also benefits to goign squishy mages, this patch is goign to test peoples skill and knowledge of the game EDIT - forgot to mention ADC's are still extremely squishy and due to tower changes, split pushing is a really strong option if the enemy ADC is super hyper carry buffed. There are options in this game othe rthan just 5v5 team fighting, picking and choose when to team fight has a huge impact. This patch will test peoples mental

Sigh Still early armor pen, same with ghostblade, it's pretty dang crazy. Full ap mages even with defensive get shit on, you shouldnt be FORCED to play a boring tanky mage, MAGES should have NEVER BEEN TOUCHED to begin with. They literally made them useless this entire patch so far. The only ones surviving are probably ekko, diana and some other ap assassins. Swain actually got jerked around this patch so don't expect much of him. vlad is still squishy regardless dont expect much of him, elise has always been played IN THE JUNGLE. There is no testing of skill or knowledge, they literally made this patch for adcs and assassins. ADC squishyness means nothing when they deal tons of damage AND have ESCAPES. There shouldn't be the same dang champs over and over. Oh don't forget the fact ads can heal on crit now HOW AMAZING.
i should recommend you check out twitch.tv or the spectator wheel and see some of your favorite champs played in higher elo. They're still viable they just have a higher pay wall and require a little more attention. AD mids open opportunities for your jungle right now. your jungler really has to know how to play though. I mean he has to know who counters who and whos the aggressor i nthe lane(Most AD mids)Jungle is easy for ad casters right now also. and with the increased XP gain, junglers cna clear 1-2 camps and immediately start ganking like a lee sin rather than sitting whole game trying to keep up with laner levels.

Im not gonna watch some twitch stream to see my favorite champs not played. AD mid is disgustingly boring and I refuse to play an assassin like that. Sorry but I want to play something that takes skill, not that I need to face roll my keyboard. Lee sin has ALWAYS been played. Do you not pay attention to anything? You say to go watch twitch streams yet you don't see lee sin is played everywhere. Lol
I said like a lee sin, as in im comparing it to a lee sin ganking, rather than a yi just sitting and farming all game. then falling behind if its not successful. the increased xp opens up options. Also you may look at landing skill shots as the definition of skill when its just 1 factor of skill... if "Faceroll" my keyboard was that easy you'd probably be plat, diamond or higher. THere are a lot of factors to skill even some champs may seem so easy to learn blah blah bullshit I used to think like you when i was silver/gold but its very different when you move up. Decision making is a big ass deal. mechanics are just 1 part of it. Pls dont come at me with an attitude, I'm being respectful to you and taking the time out of my day to explain a different perspective than your depressing demeaner

I'm ignoring you now. You completely went over every point. Lol Plat 1. Dude I had high plat mmr and low diamond mmr. Don't talk to me about different skill factors. I already know about that. I don't care how much time you're taking out of your day, you honestly probably have nothing else to do with it. Good day.
wow... man.. idk why you're so aggressive and angry.. holy shit i didnt kill your fmaily i didn't blow someone up, i didnt sell drugs to your little sister like wtf is your problem man. people like you are just irrational humans. you're arrogant... theres no learning for you you already think you're the shit
Guys listen to yourself, we all know what to do.
BETTER NERF IRELIA [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
Actually, built full AD she's kind of scary right now...
I just destroyed a Lee Sin top and he even had help from Hecarim. I got double kill. Twice. he is over hyped and their team won because my team was amazingly stupid.
On the contrary, assuming you have runes that have armor in them, it can amount to something (albeit relatively minuscule). But that is just me being pedantic.
Riot's only goal is to make you play how they want. I say screw them and build the most outrageous builds that are anti meta and kill everyone because they all suck
Sigh Still early armor pen
Its bonus armor pen wich means that it doesnt do sht early game. It pentrates the armor you buy and get from runes not the one you start with or scale with. This makes it extremly bad early.
same with ghostblade
WIth your logic it was worse before because then you got more APen for pess gold.
Full ap mages even with defensive get shit on, you shouldnt be FORCED to play a boring tanky mage, MAGES should have NEVER BEEN TOUCHED to begin with.
Mages have always been recked by burst and you counter it by outranging them. They are pretty much the same and it makes no diffrence as a talon main. If they have been hit (wich i dont belive they have) tanky mages have been hit just as hard.
Swain actually got jerked around this patch so don't expect much of him. vlad is still squishy regardless dont expect much of him
These two and every other self sustain champion got absolutely fcked this patch with the introduction of Mortal Reminder but vlad is NOT squishy atleast late gam. Read that pssive and look at his builds. He is quite tanky.
