Invulnerability is the new 3 hit passive
^
^
After hitting an enemy 3 times, gain invulnerability for 1 second.
Buying max attack speed
Devourer Jungle.
so once you get your combo started, you are just 100% unkillable.
I don't see how that's different than what we have now... /s
just hard CC and 1v5 them
Shyvana already exists.
just pink ward his invulnerability noob

And another slap into the face for Karthus. When will they finally bring this guy up to speed with all the other broken champions?
when Janna gets buffs.
Finally, in 2020... "Since the game is about to die out, we're finally buffing Karthus. His ultimate goes through shields and invulnerability effects. However, this does not apply for champions with three hit passives, which is pretty much every champion in the game right now."
people ask me what I see myself doing in 4 years but I can't see 20/20
3 Second Channel VS Taric 2.5 Second Channel. A Good Taric and whoever he's next to will never be hit by Karthus' ult ever. :P
Yes and Karthus Ult is pretty much the only thing you will be able to reactively Taric ult - and tha'ts if you're good, with only half of a second to react and position.
People are of course going to over-estimate this ability because INVULNERABILITY, but it's actually very balanced for once. For instance the preview video of his ulti was rigged, in a real situation a decent Lux would have landed all of her spells in 2.5 seconds.

Why not just redo his ultimate so it goes through shields?
That's not OP I don't know why they haven't done it yet.
When the 1k AP damage, no Range limit, 5 (6 if Illaoi pulls someone) man ult goes through shields and/or anything else that tries counter play, Karthus will become pick or ban. As much as i want this, there needs to be check and balances for something like that.
The thing is, I don't feel like this would be the case, since his ult is really the only thing he really had going for him. Now with all of these shields and invulnerabilities, he's kinda useless, and if his ult did go through shields and invulnerabilities, that would be about all that he's useful for.
Hey Karthus, you...you got something on your face...
Unlike Kayle's ult, though, Taric's ult at least seems like it's going to require some serious planning and forethought to use well. Kayle's is point and click insta-shield. Taric's takes a fair amount of time before it happens, which won't do you any good vs. a Lux ult, Ezreal ult, or any good assassin.
Poor Karthus, though...
Basically it's going to be permabanned in LCS until it's seriously nerfed. I mean, you just can't engage or counter-engage on any coordinated team with this ult.
It has a 2.5 second delay before it happens. Most assassins can burst down people in under that time.
A lot of tanks and bruisers can too
Bruisers maybe but tanks no. A lot of tanks deal a lot of damage over time like sej and shen. And the bruiser has to be either fed to kill you in 2.5 seconds or just building very bursty.
IDK,
's pretty damn good at punishing assassinating villains.

he's not a tank though, he;s a juggernaut, which is closer to a bruiser.
He's a pretty damn good tank, too.
He's a pretty damn good tank, too.
Being good at tanking damage and being a good tank are two different things, Garen lacks the cc of a true tank.
That's like saying "Yi and Nocturne are good at assassination, but can't be considered true assassins because they lack the burst."
It doesn't matter what they lack, because it obviously isn't hindering them if they can fulfill that role.
Best part is he also has that 3 hit passive too.
Or at least, he is encouraged to hit 3 times.
Isn't a two hit passive?
Granted that isn't much of a change over current Taric, where you are suppose to hit, ability, hit, ability, hit and so on. They just split the spell CD reduction over two hits instead of one.
Technically it's a 2 hit passive.
It's more like a double hit. Like Lee Sin's.
Or Lucian's.
I like his new ultimate over the old one, the new one offers decision making and actual value when used correctly, the old one was just a ball of stats given just at the push of a button, which u would do whenever you were fighting, no decision making or risks or play making etc. However im against invulnerabilties, the only one i approve off is Bard's and maybe Taric's is okay too i guess only hard counter is karthus ulti because you don't really need to time it there.
Also has a lenghty channel before taking effect, if i understood right, meaning it can't be used by reflex or too much well defensively.
I was expectating something really amazing to come out from tarics new kit and then........ Kayle aoe ult. Great. At least, he's still outrageous and shinny and elegant and fabulous
First off, it's INSANELY powerful. But the fun and unique part of his kit is the W, not the ultimate.
Clearly it is, but I feel like its kinda genetic. Riot could have pulled something unique out of Taric's new thematic.
I feel like they did the same with Aurelion Sol. The coolness is on the W, and the ult is sorta just "here have this generic powerful ultimate." I'll wait until I play him to say anything, but I really do think it'll be awesome.
Come on now, Akali isn't that hot. http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9sob3RnLB1r19np4.gif

Diamond is one of the hardest metals (if not THE hardest metal) known to man.
How is it not justified for the gem knight to have an invulnerable ult?
diamond is purely made out of carbon atoms, which is a non-metal. chemistry op
Due to extensive research done by the Fourchon University of Science, diamond has been confirmed as the the hardest metal known the man. The research is as follows. Pocket-protected scientists built a wall of iron and crashed a diamond car into it at 400 miles per hour, and the car was unharmed. They then built a wall out of diamond and crashed a car made of iron moving at 400 miles an out into the wall, and the wall came out fine. They then crashed a diamond car made of 400 miles per hour into a wall, and there were no survivors. They crashed 400 miles per hour into a diamond travelling at iron car. Western New York was powerless for hours. They rammed a wall of metal into a 400 mile per hour made of diamond, and the resulting explosion shifted the earth's orbit 400 million miles away from the sun, saving the earth from a meteor the size of a small Washington suburb that was hurtling towards midwestern Prussia at 400 billion miles per hour. They shot a diamond made of iron at a car moving at 400 walls per hour, and as a result caused two wayward airplanes to lose track of their bearings, and make a fatal crash with two buildings in downtown New York. They spun 400 miles at diamond into iron per wall. The results were inconclusive. Finally, they placed 400 diamonds per hour in front of a car made of wall travelling at miles, and the result proved without a doubt that diamonds were the hardest metal of all time, if not just the hardest metal known the man.
um where the hell did u copy paste this stupid april fool article from? it literally makes 0 sense and diamond is not a metal.
You're too young to be on these boards
Why would you take out my power :( western New York matters too
