The Rejuvenation Bead + Machete Start on Warwick Got Me Thinking . . . Long Sword + Bead on Laners?

Could this be worth on some champions, so replacing the obligatory reffillable pot or 3pot with a rejuvenation bead? Sure, you would be weaker in lane but if you don't plan to trade early on anyway it might just get you you an early Tiamat spike 150 gold faster than usual, so about one minion wave.

For example, you are Fiora against Darius , where trading very early on is super risky but you will easily beat him once you got a few items and levels going. Since you wouldn't want to trade with Darius early on anyway and you got the tools in your kit to not let him force it onto you, you just farm minions in the early game and you don't necessarily need the extra pots. With this start, you would get the Tiamat spike one wave earlier and you would get to the point where you outscale Darius and beat him in trades and duels much faster.

This is just one example but I think it could work on a lot of other champions too.

This used to be something I did on Renekton from time to time, since it gave a really fast Tiamat.

The issue is that you have significantly reduced sustain. It'd best be used on a champion with really good sustain. Popping potions mid-combat is also really important in early trades and all-ins, so you'd have to play really passive.

The other issue is that item 3071 is a much better rush on most champions.

Sounds like you understand the risk. If you're confident you can avoid dying before getting Tiamat, go for it!

Warwick can sustain the entire jungle (all 6 camps) without a single potion, that's why Bead works, even though you should get refillable potion.

Getting beat on a laner is stupid because they don't have the luxury of backing whenever without losing a ton of farm or pressure on their enemy team counterpart.

I would only recommend this if you are confident that you are going to be matched against a passive/farm lane opponent.

Potions are far better for lanes where you may need to trade with your opponent because you need to be able to gain more health over a shorter period of time. Otherwise they will simply harass you until you have to leave the lane.

Keep in mind that the rejuv bead is only increasing your base hp5 by 50% so this will have a greater impact on some champions over others. I'll include a link to a list of champions based on their hp5 at level 1, their growth per level, and their hp5 at level 18.

I use to run two item 1006 and pots when I was facing Ap top as I thought the beads formed some sort of MR item( can't remember) but it was better than item 1054 because the 80HP is great, but the regen wasn't better than having 2 beads that actually formed an item and I think with 2 beads it said I would get more HP per sec with pots so I choose the beads over shield.

Only if your base regen is decent and it builds into something for you.

This isn't something new. Remember the Shen bead start last year?
