probably a super unpopular opinion but...
I don't think a champion should be balanced around the fact that he can be kited. Yah im talking about darius. Hes strong pretty much all game.

The Juggernauts are all getting a buff this coming assassin nerf. The game will be like last January again with catered Juggernaut items.
Juggernauts don't need ridiculous damage, often an armor demolishing ability and/or a way to gain a shield/extra health/lifesteal/regen
League Juggernauts are abusive tanks. And just do too much damage. Actually all tanks in this game other than Braum and maybe Shen do way too much damage for their purpose.
The class known as Divers are being updated, not Juggernaughts (as they were the first class update if I remember correctly).
(hopefully) the most changed/prime example is

Been with the game since Beta.
Juggernauts and Tank was the worst updates. And the balancing team has again learned nothing from the past with this next assassin rework.
Juggernauts will take less damage from a nerfed mage proto belt. Juggernauts are getting a lethality buff with less reason to worry about assassins. Flat armor penetration is becoming a % versus enemies of their level. Which basically means a Juggernaut in the lower levels no longer needs to worry about his armor being reduced to zero.
Mean while the Juggernauts listed all get to enjoy their same armor penetration abilities because their abilities are UNAFFECTED by the flat armor penetration change.
Jarvan Dragon Strike reduces the armor of all enemies hit by 37 / 39.8 / 42.6 / 45.4 / 48.2% for 3 seconds. Kayle Holy Fervor reduces the armor of enemies hit by her autoattacks for 5 seconds per stack. This debuff stacks up to 5 times for a combined percentual armor penetration of (Max. 40.5%). Renekton Slice and Dice, when empowered by having more than 50 Fury, Dice will reduce the armor of all enemies hit by 40.5 / 44 / 47.5 / 51 / 54.5% for 4 seconds. Sion Roar of the Slayer reduces the armor of the target hit by 20% for 2.5 seconds. Trundle Subjugate reduces the armor of his target by 44% to 58% in the next 4 seconds (the effect does not apply any stacks). The armor reduction lasts for another 4 seconds after the drain completes. Urgot Noxian Corrosive Charge reduces the armor of all enemies hit by 38.4 / 39.8 / 41.2 / 42.6 / 44% for 5 seconds. Vi Denting Blows reduces the target's armor by 44% for 4 seconds after every third consecutive hit. Jayce mercury cannon reduces the armor and magic resistance of the enemy hit by his first attack after cast, by 37 / 40.5 / 44 / 47.5% for 5 seconds. Wukong Crushing Blow reduces the armor of the target hit by 37 / 40.5 / 44 / 47.5 / 51% for 3 seconds. Xin Zhao Challenge reduces the armor of targets hit by his basic attacks or Audacious Charge by 40.5% for 3 seconds. Only one target may be challenged at a given time.
ETC....
New Armor is being added and you better believe Juggernauts will abuse the spell blocking ability on it.
All while support can now still heal their Juggernaut tank while they are dead with their new armor active ability. (The assassin does their job targeting the healer.) And will still get killed by the Juggernaut that can now be healed.
Juggernauts champs often get shields, regens, True damage, damage reduction abilities, life steal and increased HP and it only takes time to get their power. Now League balancing team is making it even easier for them to get what they need without worrying about assassins in the lower levels.
There is No reason for Juggernauts to be greater than assassins and mages while having the sustain of a tank.
So stop with this diver Crap when they are just Juggernauts allowing even the worst players with out skill to butt their heads in battle and call it skill when they kill with their over sustain and stupid op damage.
uh...all I pointed out was how Juggernauts and Divers are two separate classes, no need to go rant about the history of league and it's past updates
And even though this is still irrelevant to the conversation, I personally preferred the juggernaut patch. Sure, the numbers were off but I thought they did a good job at creating some pretty unique identities. Your opinion that juggernauts
allow even the worst players with out skill to butt their heads in battle and call it skill when they kill with their over sustain and stupid op damage
seems a bit biased and embelished to me, especially because a juggernaut trades mobility for damage and tend to fall off in the late game which seems fairly balanced for a gameplay perspective.
Note* Balanced and Healthy are two different things and only 1 of them doesn't involve personal emotions
FUCK DARIUS
Really? I haven't had any problems with Darius since the end of S5. I've only lost lane to him once all season long this season though and even that was due to disconnecting 5 different times that game. Just pick a ranged top laner against him and he's screwed. That's seriously all you need. Just take your pick of something like Teemo, Quinn, Vayne, or even things like Heimerdinger or Malzahar and he can't do crap. lol
Juggernauts are essentially "Fuck every single other melee character LUL" and that's pretty much all they do to be honest.
Okay. That's not an opinion. You're just wrong.
I hate it when people do this. "u r rong" without providing any explanations or whatsoever and downvoting and proceed to go on self righteous attitudes.
I agree with him (though not how he presented his opinion)
Not having mobility is a perfectly fair balancing tool. It's a clear and abusable weakness that creates a limitation, just the same as any other stat to balance champs. It can be compensated by items at the cost of other stats, and limits their gameplay against a lot of matchups. It's a weakness that can only be taken advantage of if the enemy is competent enough to know how to kite, so imo I see no reason why it shouldn't be considered a proper balancing tool just because some players don't have the skill to use it against the champ, yaknow?
I didn't say I disagree with this guy, but I seriously hate how he presented what he said.
You don't think a champion should be balanced around the fact that their damage is avoidable by not standing still and face-tanking it?
