The C9 vs TL game and how it shows what really sucks for this game right now
So watching this game I really get reminded that the thing that i really hate about lol the most these past few seasons is not even the dmg-creep, nor "modern" champ design...
it´s the simple fact that teams tat take action and take risks are mostly punished for it.
this game just doesn´t really reward initiative anymore, at least not in teamfighting. There are just waay too many tools to outplay an engage, and no tools at all to reset the fight for the engaging party, deeming anything other than a multi layer, multi-flank engage a lost fight if the opponent plays on the same level in the defense.
And the culprit #1 here is still flash...a summoner dominating for years without ever getting a closer look from any designer, followed closely by QSS, and nowadays that reju thingy with the heal active (don´t care how that thing is named, the only important thing about it is the active, even more important than the champ carrying it unfortunatly).
I really think there´s waay too much peel in this game right now, and it´s the main reason the melee/range issue will never be solved, even for the dmg-creep as you absolutly have to 100-0 people in an instant or they will be saved right now and that defensive/conservative teams will come out ahead most of the times (making esports rather dull compared to the beginning or even other mobas in my opinion).
