TL DL: Possible solution for rightful claim to role.

maybe have a randomized assignment of roles that no one need follow but if there is a dispute whoever has the random role that is vied for assigned to them gets it. that way we can implement a voting based on this.

chat was so toxic during the ban phase they were at each others throats saying who will jungle etc. so i figured id lay it to rest and be the jungler.

being first pick i figured i could settle the dispute. but nope they proceeded to becker and tell me im blind and can't read. I'd like someway for us to have something to point to for disputes that puts to rest any contest over a role or being able to kick someone during champ select phase. vote 4/5 or something like surrendering.

Pick order is supposed to be the end all be all last resort of determining who gets what role, but in times like these, there's not much else you really can do besides dodge out. I'd rather take a small LP hit and wait out the timer than have to deal with a potentially toxic game and lose even more LP and MMR points.

er... please dont promote dodging under any circumstance... if you want to play ranked ensure you can play at least 3 roles with good skill and 2 with average(worst case scenario). Usually you will get one of these three roles. Dodging is dishonorable in all cases. Please if you're already doing it, don't do it. Its my request to you. Even if your team turns out to have players fighting over a specific role its usually because they don't have these 3 roles that they're good at. So be a good teammate. Give them what they want. Do your best. And don't forget to ward. <3

There are some times when things are so bad that dodging is the smart thing to do, because my time is more valuable than playing a game with potentially a couple people who are going out of their way to make sure the team loses.

sorry i can never agree with you on that one... if you do have good people in your game you're probably ruining it for them... and you've wasted their time.. its basically avoidance tactics that i can never agree with... even if i do get matched with a bad team i will stick by them till the end... never in my life was i taught to avoid situations based on chance of failures. and never in my life was i taught to give up on my team. so i can never agree with you on this. no dodger will ever earn my respect. not that it matters.

i'm not one to dodge, i very rarely do, it takes a very dedicated and determined troll to get me to dodge. and i wrote in another comment that i typically go fill.

In a way, I'm not encouraging dodging im encouraging the proper displinary action needed to discourage the need to dodge by making people who wish to make other people dodge by trolling to cease this type of behavior by means of kicking them. after kicking someone if need be you could have a person join in like team builder and reset the timer and picks. But not restart bans of course bans should stay.

or give more time but not reset picks either. just that person will be stuck with the role in question. he will have the choice to refuse it however at no penalty for him, just like you can in team builder, and click find another group...

sort of joking, sort of not, "hey riot, where's that ranked team builder?" "oh, it's there, just have to have someone always online and hope that they don't leave within a week or something"

are there really this many trolls in league? some people are just really annoying, but if they play their champ well, the lobby picks don't really matter too much

maybe if there is a dispute if 3 people type /settle dispute the randomizer would give everyone a role if neither gets it you then type /reroll. this can only be done 3 times such that no one can abuse it and call 3 out of 5 etc... i dont think its possible for neither to get the contested role with 3 tries right? so long as no one gets the same role twice?

or you could type /resolve jungle and it will say who the jungler should be. do this until it selects either candidate

this has potential, but isn't it bad enough that people call out their "preferred" role 100x instead of tryiing to roll for a role and saying, "it says i'm the ADC, deal with it" once they rolled 5x before you can even type your roll?

i wish you could target kayle ult on enemy and silence them for the duration... That'd be awesome! :D Protect a teammate from damage or suppress their hardest carry... Epic :3 Bet if that happens kayle becomes popular again xD

wouldn't it also put them into stasis or something like bard? I mean, her ult is an indestructible bubble of magical energy, but actually, I think it's the rest of her kit that needs changing and not her ult. It's iconic of Kayle

nono... its not a stasis its just a silence except auto attacks wont do any damage either so... Maybe silence and blind? The enemy affected by the skill will have full awareness, will take damage and will retain his movement ability unhindered. Basically, the bubble will appear on enemy target. Any spells or outgoing skills will be blocked by the bubble if the target is an enemy champion. Graphically the bubble is the same but the outer layer which blocks spells and attacks cast from outside to protect the friendly will invert if cast on enemy target blocking all outgoing attacks and spell from that champion. The enemy champion will retain his movement and will take damage from friendly attacks but will not be able to retaliate with any attacks and will only be able to walk/run to another position for the duration the skill is active. Thats why i'm calling it a silence because silence shares all these debuffs on the enemy. The skill will last for the same duration whether cast on friendly or enemy unit, difference being that if friendly is targetted, he/she will become invulnerable, and if enemy is targetted, he/she will be silenced.

Low elo basically teaches players they have to win the game by themselves in order to rank up. Unless they change the mmr system to match like-minded people together, rather than pure win rate, this is going to happen.

i agree anyone who says "pick order" is a complete idoit. you give people best role they can get with w/e combination you can

poeple should be good at at LEAST 2 roles. which is generally enough overlap to fill all of with roles they can play.

the fact that i play Nidalee is nice for me becuase even though i main her in mid lane... i can just as easily take her top, support, or jungle, even after i have locked in need be

my obvious jungle prefernce is reksai but even if he is banned i can jungle as nid or kha (although since he is in a pretty abysmal state right now i hate doing it as him)

as support i prefer lux but i can go blitz ir we need a tank or even nid if im forced to go support after i locked in.

the reason people CALL THIER ROLES is so the team can try to give every player thier best role and if not the best what is best for the team and give them a role they can at least work with.

i NEVER nor should ANYONE ever instalock a pick in ranked or try to call "pick order"; before they talk to thier teammate about what roles they can play.

just as i NEVER ban champs without making my my teammates don't want to play them first. and guess what?

if i am forced to go ADC in a ranked game (which is my absolute WORST role). i can either dodge the que if i feel im totally screwed or if i have 4 other player who got i feel thier BEST roles that left me as ADC i can try to work with the ADC's i can. i might be high silvers in my main champs and low gold at nid. but i can still beat a bronze 4 or 5 player with about 3 different ADC's. which unfortunately for me is more than i can say for some of the ADC's I've had to support

if you like kha you should try rengar... he's in much better shape than kha and the kit with runes/masteries are fairly similar. And of course rengar has no mana cost on skills.

there's a difference some people blatantly want to get the game to dodge or straigtht up troll from the get go. as in this case. even if you gave them what they want they have an attitude about them that somehow their entitled to whatever they want for such and such reasons. and they'll typically carry over this attitude into the game as well. People that almost derive as much fun from this as from playing the game.

I will fill most of the time or give pick priority. but usually i call two roles and get one. that guy on the other hand was just looking to get on peoples nerves. I should have copied the entire dialogue it was pathetic.

Agreed I should have been clever and offered to be like arbitor and call heads or tails on 3. Anyways at the time I figured there was no right move for me. might as we'll try and see if it made a difference. Then dodge. Typically they will chew and fester on anything you say/do.

But regardless implementing this could help with this pretty common low elo discordance.
