Draaaaven Explanation Please?

So I've begun playing/testing out Draaaven. The ADC role has always been a struggle for me, as I'm used to playing Tanky Frontliners or Burst Mages, and am not used to having to skirt around to fit in damage wherever I can. Anyways...

Draven is a pretty fun pick, he good chase/kite potential with high damage output throughout all stages of the game that helps cover up my poor adc skills. My question is:

Youmuus vs. IE?

I was in a game and asked them if I should go IE (as most adc's do) or youmuus (as I've seen other Draven players do) and they said IE because Youmuus is really for more advanced Draven players. What are the trade-offs between IE vs Youmuus start and can someone explain why Youmuus is a good start on Draven in the first place?

Thanks in advance guys :)

Depends on your playstyle and team comps and how the game is going. Youmuus is great for burst damage and dueling potential. He has incredible damage potential with his axes, and having AS means he can juggle more axes at a time (2 in hands and one in the air)...without having to build more AS-centric items that otherwise don't provide as much damage for him. The MS speed comes in very handy to let him catch his axes while chasing or kiting. The flat pen comes in great for tearing down somebody. Oh, and more CDR means more Qs for damage, and more E's for protection/chase.

IE is great for trading and general sustained damage. You can chunk somebody down with just a single Q in the later early game / early mid game. It also synergies with crit-focused builds. However, it means less mobility...and Draven in general doesn't have a lot of mobility compared to other ADCs nowadays. If there's a threat on the other team of somebody being able to kill you before you can get several autos in, then IE is risky.

Youmuu's is generally a "safer" option if you use the active appropriately. The utility comes in handy to counteract his weak mobility.

In terms of power curves, I think Youmuu's gives access to more power sooner/cheaper. Early game, the flat penetration is pretty strong and is accessible with just the dirk @ 1100g. You don't get access to a lot of IE's power until you finish it @ 3600g. If you're pretty fed, that might not be a bad idea, but otherwise it means your early mid game is kinda weak until you complete it.

tldr: Youmuu's for early snowballing and utility, IE for more sustained damage.
