Paradox: If the game wouldn't revolve about adc's then botlane would be more enjoyable for them
Botlane doesn't only drives the most attention because of its strategic position on the map
- Need botlane for dragon control
- Push bot to pressure Baron
- Easiest tower to destroy for bonus gold
It is also the fact that adc's tend to be the most snowballing champs and you really want to shut them down/get your adc snowballing ASAP hence the jungler will camp botlane early game, the toplaner will try to save TP for it and the midlaner will try to come as well because adc's are the most rewarding champs to feed.
It also has a negative affect on the jungle. Because early jungler camping is required only junglers with a good early game are viable right now. It isn't worth the trade off of losing botlane, dragon and baron pressure to take a slower jungler and try to outscale by farming. You will never catch up once you lose botlane.
So If we could actually give adc's a bad early game and it would take longer for them to scale you would remove the urgency for everyone else to camp botlane. The game becomes less snowball and with less early damage it becomes harder to take early dragons and destroy bot turret after you forced the enemy lane to back out once. Also you could fortify towers and make them deal more damage so games would generally take longer and adc's have the appropriate time to scale.
Now that games are taking longer each role could enter once again in the spotlight at each stage of the game. Early game champs can still make a difference and take a lead but those that don't perform well or don't close the game could actually get punished for it because they get outscaled. That is the risk/trade-off that is very much needed in case you want to pick champs like Lee Sin. During midgame the highest damagedealer would once again be the midlaner. During midgame tanks are actually tanks once again because their counterpart, the adc, is not strong enough yet to 3 shot them. So now you have more interesting teamfights that could take 20 seconds with lots of decision making instead of 'point and right clickers' for 1k criticals and heals. During the midgame teamfights you should focus the midlaner or the bruiser or diver or whoever is the most fed and you don't necessary have to take out the adc already. So now every role has a window of opportunity to make a difference at certain stages of the game and feel important and valuable to the team with abilities to carry a game. Not just be 'that guy that has to peel or engage for the adc'. During lategame adc's will reclaim their thrown as mvp's and become a force to be reckoned with once again and are the most effective role at taking objectives and deal the most damage during teamfights.
TL;DR: We are back to season 4/5.
