@Riot About the Yasuo Nerfs you may Have Mentioned and Balancing Problems

If I remember, Riot mentioned on maybe their Nexus page that Yasuo nerfs were intended for mid-late January or early February. The most we've gotten in the way of such as with his E change. While it's a nerf, it doesn't fix what makes Yasuo such a dick to fight. Being a dick in terms of annoyance, power, and just how well he can do. He's not the perfect champion, but you're not going to fix a champion by just favouring them for their $LCSBIGPLAYS$.

Yasuo NEEDS direct nerfs or changes to make him:

  • Less of a nuisance to fight
  • Not be so much of a jack of all trades (item efficiency, damage, mobility, CC, defense) the only thing I don't see him having is accessibility and a reliable disengage
  • Have his power toned down, maybe in damage or power at certain stages of the game

What I've noticed from Riot is that they don't really like to nerf what makes a champion powerful, but instead weaken other parts of their kit. This keeps their powerful abilities THERE while just making less of their kit reliable, so champs are still going to abuse their power.

Another thing is nerfing/not nerfing a champion just for professional series. Can I say something real quick?

#STOP BALANCING YOUR GAME JUST AROUND PRO PLAY

All those flashy players in the LCS can be cool, but that's practically the 1% of the community. Not everyone is some challenger level god that plays only the top 30 champions. Even IF it is fun to watch competitive, it sure as hell may not be fun to play the game for real. There's been nerfs to all kinds of champions just because they weren't flashy enough in pro play (Shen, RekSai) which made them worse for the rest of us. You decided to balance the game around making it fun to watch, now we have skewed balance, favourite champions that could NEVER get nerfs, and games decided in 10 minutes.

If there's anything I'm going to say it's this:

  • Focus on the larger portion of players, not the small percent of pros
  • Don't have favourites for champions just because they look cool and flashy, actually nerf them if they get too powerful
  • If you make a mistake, SAY IT. It's better to swallow your pride and accept your flaws than just say nothing and not change the issues And more personally:
  • Look into champions like Yasuo, Caitlyn, Lee, etc. Yes, the boards is a pretty small amount of the community, but if something gets complaints it may be worth looking into
  • Please buff towers, they're made of paper. At least give bot lane tower it's resistances and buff their defenses?
  • If a champion is gutted for any reason (LCS, bad kit, toxic kit, etc.) look into what changes could be made to make them fair and good overall

Just some thoughts that were brewing in my head for a while, and I felt a need to get them out there. Even if it is just more board circlejerk, I wanted to see if I could get any discussion going and maybe even word from Riot.

Oh, and a Vel'Koz skin please? I like him.

Edit: I have no idea what happened to this post or why people hate it, I was hoping for some discussion though.

Yes, it was an exaggeration, to be fair. I feel though that there are other ways to respond.

And as always a really well made post with lots of valid points gets downvoted to oblivion... I hate 90% of the boards people.
