I'm a Veigar player playing the changes

They are exactly what he needed. Veigar no longer needs to be greedy. He can land his W with stun at rank 1 and at rank 5 after people buy merc treads. And he even has potential to land his W without stunning by leading it well. I have a 63% win rate over 35 games with him in ranked pre-buffs.

People like but muh utility but muh damage. Veigar doesn't need more. His E is a huge zone tool with huge CC and at 40% CDR he is a monster in team fights. Huge damage bursts nonstop. A large AoE stun/zoning tool on a 25% uptime. His problems have been addressed whether you like it or not. He has plenty of synergy in his kit now that his W lands .25s sooner (I personally thought even .1s sooner would have solved his problems). His E now effectively stuns people or zones them into his W. I feel this is a much healthier state than his old one. Now you can choose do I want to take his whole kit or just 600+ damage from 1 ability. His utility is removing people from fights whether it be through death or zoning. He still has to scale to be useful, and I'm tired of hearing complaints about late game champs not having a decent early game. Because that's how we get the problem with Vayne , Tristana , and Jinx . As well as the occasional Irelia ,Jax , and Azir .

The changes are a step in the right direction, but they're still laughably short of changing his current predicament. Anyone dumb enough to stand in warning particles for a full second isn't worth using as an example of an average player, so saying he's good against anything but utter noobs is completely false. He still won't land meteors on anyone without the help of his E, and that's remained at a 0.5 second delay with a 20 unit width area of effect. Compared to other abilities with similar delays, it has in general 1/6 the effective area, making it impossible for competent players not to dodge it.
