Why is it okay for Jax to be able to deal more dmg than anyone else while being tanky?

His ult passive damage is straight up ridiculous...

Passive: Jax deals bonus magic damage on every third basic attack within 2.5 seconds of each other.

Magic Damage: 100 / 160 / 220

Usually you would expect someone like Jax who relies on AA to be quite useless in teamfights, well Jax and his ADC had the best peel in the world...

Orianna - Shield Lux - Shield

My whole team was afraid to engage and we just lost that game. I was playing Yorick in top and I was actually winning against him until he was picking off kills all around the map. I tried to splitpush at one point and got camped by Orianna Twitch Lux. But I did try to help and save my teamates as much as I can but they just get 3 hit killed or just one shot by Orianna Lux who were both full ap.

Try playing him for a while and then you will understand why he needs to be tanky to function. If you actually let him reach full build, I would say he deserves to win.

I did play him a lot years back. But i've changed, my playstyle changed. But yes I know he needs to be tanky otherwise he's just squishy. Currently Jax isn't hard to play, you can learn to play him well after some time. But you have to admit that he deals more damage than he should, not saying that his R passive damage needs to be get rid of but it needs to be tuned down slightly or something I don't know.

At least Jax has windows where you can actually fight him and his itemization is the most expensive in the game, with little room for him to deviate from his core. Personally, I think there are bigger problems right now than Jax. For example, I would rather deal with him than Ornn, Maokai, Rhaast, Vayne, etc.

League has always struggled to balance champions like this, who are tanky and can deal significant damage, especially late game. Always.

In Jax's case, He really is a hyper carry, you need to treat him as such and learn to try to win early against him. Always take into consideration a champions given scaling potential.

He has counters, he doesn't spell insta-win, but he's damn terrifying come late game. You must assault him as a team and control him. He will NOT survive 5 people slamming down on him at once.

That's very true.

I would take this post if this was season 5 or 6. This post right now doesn't make any sense.

You should see him in arurf.. I wished they disabled him or really tone down the ap scaling... it's takes like 4 champs to stop him in it.

Because it takes a very long time for him to reach that point, and if it doesn't, you and the team probably fed him.
