ADC 3 items vs mage 3 items:

ADC highest damage build: item 3031 item 3087 item 3094 = 8600 gold Mage highest damage build: item 3165 item 3089 item 3285 = 9900 gold Why the hell is adc itemization cheaper than mage itemization, despite adc being meant to only be strong late game.

Because the mage is in a solo lane and has extra levels compared to the bot lane. They pay for their levels indirectly through their items.

Doesn't make sense. Put ADC into solo lanes and they will be more effective then?

Actually if you played a long time ago, ADC was solo mid. The meta changed to ADC + Support when mages got nerfed overall.

Who goes bot lane? The mage with really expensive items that will be useless and feed when they go OOM early game?

They wont, they need to back and buy to scale, they lose out the arms race from just being near dying minions in a majority of matchups.

Remember that some of a mages power spike is tied into their level and ability's. As a solo lane they should have an exp advantage on adcs in early and mid game. You should not look to highest damage as the end all be all stat, or disregard the impact a kit has.

Adcs strength is their reliability in sustained dps the provide for their team. This is not the standard you should judge other roles with as its not their job. Janna is in a really really really strong spot but she is dead last in damage. CC and Utility still matter. I went to heere and sorted it by damage to champions.

Theres 0 adcs in the top 5, karthus takes both first and second place in mid then top. Extend that to next 10 and we only see Kogmaw then Ezreal showing up. If we extend it to 15 MF (11th place) and Twitch (14th place) make an appearance. Now as we increase this list we see more and more adcs showing up but it should be noted that that the champions for that role all tend to hover in similar damage which usually is in the 20k range.

ADC can go midlane as well which basically negates the whole idea about exp difference. Sneaky already got success with Sivir mid recently as well.

Was it against Kass? Cause sivir has been a counter pick to Kass since season 1

I don't see much of an issue or contradiction here. Some can, a majority cant. The ones who can are all reliant on their kits, not their items. Just because some Adcs scale faster off their ability's then others does not devalue the ones who cant or make the other viable options mid less important. Comp is important and throwing that out because ADCS OP LUL is a mistake, especially when your not able to play at a higher level of mechanics and coordination.

Adcs in off lanes happen but its a pretty low. Quin top is the only adc top with a high enough play rate to be recorded and shes getting a 0.65% pick rate. Kindred Jungle is another with a 0.91. Both of them are hardly over a 50% win rate so we are looking at them showing up and winning in less then 1 out of every 200 games. This does not sell me that they are an issue but rather they have their place in specific comps or matchups. Rest are negative 50% winrates or done so infrequently they don't show up on the statistic site I use. None of this implies there's a problem or a reason to run these comps as their requirements for success are unreliable in a majority of scenarios.

You can jungle karth, you can jungle Oriana, you can build any support as pure AD, You can buy nothing but boots. Can does not imply should.

A single should not be held up as an example to set expectations for the majority. I recall seeing a 1 trick player in season 3 diamond who only did WW or Trist Full ap mid. Dude was winning 60ish% on both. I knew a guy who ran xin, tryndamer, and Aatrox top and allof them he did ap. Buddy of mine in the current meta is destroying with hybrid Trist, and I myself run bard ADAS off tank or go High AP nami.

A single player doing well with off meta does not make for viability for everybody. A single champion doing well in an off role does not make the majority of that champions class viable in said off roles.

If you would be so kind, in your response please include the reason you feel it necessary to argue over this point and what impact you feel your point has on the meta and general impact on the player base. I am making this request because if you do so and you find that only a small number of players or games are impacted then further discussion and debate over this topic to me will be of little value as its not going to make statistical significance.

Adcs aren't meant to only be strong late game roflmao.. 70% of them are suppose to fall off late game.. 100% of them fall off late game if you are terrible.. Mages have way more utility and in some aspects tankier than ADCS.. as well as they do more damage if built right.. For adcs.. I.E is good, statikk and rfc are optionals for adcs, mean while EVERYMAGE you see goes for THE MOST EXPENSIVE ap items that give u 100+ Ap which you have shown. Those items give better stats than the ADC items , which is why they cost more.

Uhm... since when are you playing? ADC are historicly the class that farms all the game to buy the most expensive and strongest Itemization to CARRY Lategame Teamfights. And gets an entire role dedicated on making sure they're able to. xD

Warmanreaper1 votes

ADCs are those who Farm creeps and annihilate their lane, in teamfights they sit in the back line, either to wipe out the enemy team or to lower the team so your team can clean it up. Barely any adcs are completely armed/made for late game.. most are for early/mid, Very few like Vayne, Kogmaw, Sivir etc. actually are made for late game, because their late game phase will result in the other team losing if the player knows what they are suppose to be doing. I main ADC, have been an ADC main since Season 5 (late).

He is not entirely wrong. Of the 20 top champions in damage, a little over half of them are Mages depending on how you view champions. I don't entirely agree with his assessment 70% fall off. It might be more fair if he claimed instead that he feels 30% of adcs are hard carry's who can only be contested in the end game by other hard carrys or a well coordinated team.

IE should have the same build path as Rabadons and actually be the item they build at the end.

item 3146 item 3089 item 3100 Would be the highest burst combo for a mage with an enhance AA like leblanc or ezreal. 3400-3800-3200 so 10400g. yea ap items are way over priced.

i cant move wtf1 votes

What mage tries to get item 3089 even as a 3rd item? If anything it would be item 3165 item 3285 and one of item 1414 item 3146 item 3152 item 3041 item 3151 item 3100 item 3116
