I haven't played new darius yet, but holy crap he sounds terrible

Cast time on Q? Damage down on all abilities? Has to get 5 stacks on a target before even being a threat in team fights? Maybe I'm crazy but how is that going to make him better in any way?

I'll give him a try but I'm about done with this game. Riot talks about champion diversity but then reworks every unique champ to fit into their predetermined role sets. Darius was unique, now it sounds like he will just be another tanky bruiser.

The rework fixed nothing on him being absolutely kited well in team fights.

Blood Rage is extremely strong.

He can apply stacks surprisingly quickly once he has a single point in W, and a Titanic Hydra (since unlike R-Hydra this one actually resets your auto).

E, auto, T-Hydra auto reset, W auto reset, Q.

From what I've seen of him, he's still pretty good. His bleed being physical now, also means it applies black cleaver stacks every time it ticks.

He used to be a lane bully, basically dominating any melee with huge dunks. Now it sounds like he will play like ever other boring passive tanky top laner so he can transition into standing in team fights hoping his team can kill the enemy.

Well, his damage isn't down by that much, considering it scales with TOTAL AD rather than bonus AD, and he gets more AD per level than even fucking Cho'Gath or Mega Gnar, and as a Cho'Gath main, I'm pretty upset about that.
