Please stop the execute champions.

I believe we had only Riven and Veigar at one point, with massive damage executions. Addition of Jhin made it a little more wide spread but it wasn't a problem much.

Now tell be how we have ended up with 22 execution champions, with 8 more mass execution champions? Not to mention the support Pyke can spam this after he's used it once?

pretty sure that executions have been pretty common even in the early days

I'm assuming you're going off the Wiki page that categorizes these champions (below in italics) as execute champions which isn't entirely correct, to be honest.

If we're going off the definition of execute/execution, there are only 2 champions with them. Urgot and Pyke are the only champions from this list that will always instantly kill people below a certain threshold of health.

Dealing bonus damage when someone is lower health doesn't really classify as an execute, Jhin and every other champion listed below can have their damage shielded or built against entirely.

"Execute" Champions: (Akali, Ekko, Elise, Evelynn, Garen, Jhin, Jinx, Kai'Sa, Kog'Maw, Lee Sin, Morgana, Nidalee, Pantheon, Pyke, Rek'Sai, Riven, Shaco, Sylas, Urgot, Veigar, Volibear, Warwick)

Akali, Elise, Eve, Garen, Jhin, Lee, Nidalee, Pyke, Reksai, Riven, Urgot and Veigar have legit executes. Morgs just gets more damage as a target stands in it (synergy with her Q) And Voli? These champs have abilities designed to be used to vastly overkill low health targets to make sure it goes through, without one shotting as a balance.

So most of them do.

How is Morgana's W or Nidalee's Takedown similar in any way to Pyke or Urgot's ultimate?

Dealing more damage to low health targets =/= to an execute.
