Rework Warwick, nerf skirmisher and devourer.

Warwick is just too reliant on his ultimate right now, so anytime you have an item that applies on hit effects, he goes from being annoying, to being the newest thing the community cries about.

Back in April, it was stated his rework was there and that all that was needed was a VU. Could you not skip the VU and begin testing his rework? Not only would this solve long term itemization issues with the werewolf, but it would also allow him to be more easily balanced. Right now, he is a lot like Ryze, a simple change turns him broken, and another makes him flat out unviable.

ehh, with the change to his Q in the rework... it will make devourer even more effective on him. (as a long term Warwick WW noob) especialy if it is his only damage item sence high HP builds will make him much harder to kill than he currently is with the same build. i think they just need to make devourer grow a bit slower. like .5 or .75 magic damage per large monster, and 2 for champs(to retain the gank encuragment)

Not necessarily, his Q applied 2 stacks of his passive, that doesn't mean that it would be applying on hit effects. Plenty of abilities in the game work in conjunction with a passive without being tied to on hit.

Frankly, if they had such a concern they should have never advertised the rework 7 months ago.

the way it was worded where i read about the rework was. his Q will applie on hit effects(including his passive) twice. and, what are you talking about in your last line?

it would be simple to buff the dmg on his ult and remove the application of on-hit effects

Agreed, he was a totally ignored champion who was always good (and honestly hasn't changed much except now he's popular). Suddenly his transition into what is basically just a new version of feral flare is smoother and now everyone wants to play him. He might be a little bit too powerful with the combination of items, but that's more a balancing act than anything inherently wrong with WW. You could do the same thing with feral flare last season, but WW wasn't popular at that time (mostly because j4, khazix, and rengar were seeing a lot of play).

The only worrisome part is that the rework will just gut him and you will be left wondering what happened to the old WW. It could land up changing around his whole kit which I feel is supposed to be the unstoppable sustain monster hunter (at least when he catches someone out).

Anyways, people are so unused to seeing WW in play that people forget his obvious counters (banshee's veil and hard cc for example). Be very curious what the team at riot decides to do.
