Sona Ability Rework Idea
With the upcoming Ultimate DJ Sona skin, I think it would be worthwhile to also rework her kit to be stronger in her support role by giving her more utility. As is, Sona is obviously weaker than a lot of supports and I would like a more a hands-on support rather than a passive one, kinda like how they reworked Soraka. Again, these are only Ideas, if you have any of your own feel free to share. If not, what are your thoughts on Sona's current kit and strengths/weaknesses in her role?
-Passive - Amped Up!/ Boosted Cord After 3 stacks from using spells, Sona's next basic attack applies an added effect depending on her last skill used. Additionally, the strength of the basic attack and its effects are boosted if any of her stacks match. Example: Sona uses QQW. Her next basic attack will have 1.10 power because two of her stacks are of the same spell. If she uses QQQ, her next basic attack will instead have 1.25 power.
-Q - Reverb Sona fires a zigzagging skillshot that stops after hitting a champion, dealing 75/90/110/135/160(+20/30/40/50/60% AP) and applies a .5/.75/1/1.25/1.75 second slow. The distance and width of the skill shot is affected by the distance the mouse is to Sona, further it is, the more distance it covers and the faster it bounces (kinda like Heimerdinger's rockets). Allies within a 500 range of Sona, or who are in the range of her skillshot are given +10/20/30/40/50% Attack Speed for 2/3/4 seconds.
Amped Boost - Sona's next basic attack will deal bonus (20/30/40/50/60(+30%AP)) magic damage and will bounce between enemy units 4/5/6 times. The amount of bounces depends on how many Q's where stacked. Champions hit by this more than 2 times take 50% less damage.
-W - Pulse Sona releases a massive sound wave pushing away all enemy units within 550 range of her. The distance of the push is increased depending on their distance to Sona. For the next 8 seconds, Sona's Ethwal releases a calming aura. healing all allies within 550 range of her for 20/30/40/50 (+10/15/20/25/30% AP) each second. Allies at, or who reach, full health instead get a shield for .75% the amount. If Sona uses Reverb or Switchup during the duration, the aura persists but grants only 1/2 the effect.
Amped Boost - Sona's next basic attack will slow the target's attack speed by 5/10/15/20/25%. If 2-3 W's are stacked, the target also loses 25/45 movement speed.
-E - Switchup Sona switches up her song and grants all allies within 500 range a movement speed buff of 10/11/12/13/15% for 2/3/4 seconds. Sona and allies within range also get 15/20/25/30/35% boosted Mana regeneration while the aura lasts.
Amped Boost - Sona's next basic attack stuns the target for 1/1.5/2 seconds, but deals no damage. If 2-3 E's are stacked, The target takes 2%/4% increased damage from Sona's allies.
-R - Crescendo Honestly, I think this skill is fine as is. But It would be interesting if it granted extra range on all of her ability, say roughly 25, for every point in it.
