You know what I realized about season 5?
Every single class had great items.
Luden's and Rylai's for AP users, with the rest of their arsenal still soundly intact at the time.
AD items had gotten a mini-workover in preparation for the AD updates.
Cinderhulk, Sterak's, and Black Cleaver were all moved to tanks.
Bruisers could even benefit from those items, making them less of assassins and more of the tank/damage hybrids they were originally supposed to be.
Every jungle enchantment was even useable save the original AP enchantment, but lo and behold guess what? That was fixed before the season ended. Then it broke Ez for a short bit, but I mean fuck, there was always one or two champs that would abuse something or another for the first little while.
But the thing was that it was always just one or two champs at a time. It wasn't a clusterfuck of "Oh god what the hell do I even ban", it was "Sej, Lee, Gragas. Okay, now that that's out of the way, we can have fun." And it's sad that when at the time I was dreading coming to the boards and thinking, "Oh god, what's OP today?" is now a thought that I look back fondly on. No, now I look back and think, "Oh man, remember when Sej got to be OP for a bit? That was crazy." "Oh man, remember when Ez got to be OP for a short while? Good times."
Now it's "Remember when Twitch was murdering us 5 patches ago? Oh wait he's still doing that. Guess we don't need to remember."
I just. Want. Everything. To be possible. Again. So what if champs were on a monthly ban rotation? At least shit changed. For over 100 champions in this game, this is a season that has made games blurred together like never before into one big fucking mess.
