Rose was not that great of a companion. She just kinda felt 2 dimensional. Compare her to Donna or Martha, who were much more complex and fleshed out of characters. AND ROSE HAD TWICE AS LONG!

She actually wasn't too heavily scripted. Because she is actually a comedian as well as an actor, they left her script somewhat loose, to leave room for funny things (I guarantee you the "I just need a mate." "You want to mate?" thing was not an original thing, and she came up with it.

Tahm's mouth/esophagus is an inter-dimensional portal. His ult is him swallowing himself, traveling a short distance (see concept: 'hypserspace'), and then regurgitating himself back into League's reality a greater distance from his starting location than that conventionally traversed.
