Can we get old Galio back?

He was my main, back before you reworked him. (Same with morderkaiser, but you know.....) He was incredibly well balanced and had clear cut weaknesses and strengths. Not to mention good counterplay options for both himself and his opponents.

New galio is just... Gross

Similarly to Aatrox, he's got a flashy kit with lots of "options" but in reality you can only do so much with all of that "variety."

His Q is too easily dodged, His W's very circumstantial (and just like his old ult, often used in tandem with flash.) and his E is just mediocre. (conditional mobility that's easily interrupted if his opponent wants to.) Leaving us with just the ult. It's so incredibly lack luster and garbage due to the delay time. The only redeeming factor is the damage reduction given to his ally.

A few extra notes. His passive is stupid, as it does minimal damage, and delays his Auto attack animation. The new W passive is generally useless and especially in this AD heavy meta serves no real purpose. At least Galio's old passive converted 50% of his MR into AP so building tank really worked.

UGH, I just have new galio, and I've tried so so so hard to like him I just can't.

Hell just re-release galio has... "Garyion" or something along the lines. As a legacy design. The league could use a champion like him again.

(Just a word of warning, if anyone wants to complain about his old ult being instant CC, just remember that Empowered autos were not blocked by it. So Blitzcrank Braum Jax (counterstrike was the bane of my existence)Hecarim plus a million interactions with skillshot CC countered it super hard.)

Yes pleassseeee! Atleats replace his DR on his W to the on-damage Heal...

If they replaced the old w passive and ult. I'd take the tradeoff of this new bad Q for the new e.

Q is easy to hit, time it right, position right, and use your W after you dash in with E, E>AA>Q>W>AA is his basic combo push wave with Q and passive Save R for roaming Top or Bot or use it in team fights, it's like a mini teleport. It also just depends on match ups.

You can play him Jungle, Mid, Support and Top lane He can go full Tank or full damage

Any problems you have with him, I don't see or have any of those problems personally.

Plus I doubt Riot would revert a full scale rework like that.

You can play Galio JG with a 0% W/R, sure lol

Well you're right about riot not doing a rework. They have a serious arrogance boner when it comes to that. But I cannot agree with the Q. It's so painfully telegraphed, that sure you can argue positioning and what not. But at the same time, the argument goes both ways.

They dont keep files of pre-reworks. Its long gone buddy.

That's something they say, but I seriously doubt that. Even if they didn't we have substantial visual and written information to where recreation would be pretty simple.

Yes i don't need his old ult but i loved his basic abilities especially his E.

No. Old Galio was bad. Hit kit was a conflicted mess that didn't achieve anything other than gimmicky flash ults.

Galio had remarkable sustain, strong harass and incredible durability. What are you talking about?

Then explain why no one played him back then? He used to have pathetic playrate cz his old kit was pretty bad & didn't have much synergy.

He also had insanely high mana costs, little to no engage potential (he's supposed to be a tank), little to no CC, and his kit was designed to be more mage like than tank like but required him to constantly be in melee to trigger his healing/durability fantasy. He had no sticking power, he had barely any mana pool to speak of. So he kind of failed in about every aspect of being a mage tank.

You're absolutely right my friend, there is some serious points you're correct about. But allow me to counter you with some new examples and what not. Hexflash and item 3152 would be incredibly powerful on him, not to mention that phase rush combined with his E would give him solid speed to engage with. (potentially impact velocity with his Q as well.) His mana costs were high yes, but with many items having large mana-pools now would easily rectify that problem.

"designed to be more mage like than tank" He was the first magic juggernaut. Able to kill mages/squishies while not dying to juggernauts or fighters as well.

"He had no sticking power" Not by todays standards I guess, but with resolute smite and righteous gust, you can easily stick to most opponents.

"So he kind of failed in about every aspect of being a mage tank." Not even close man, not even close. At this point it's painfully obvious that you did not play Galio much.
