With Lux around, Karthus's ult needs a lower cooldown

YES I KNOW, Lux's isn't global and it has to be aimed. But there's too big of a spectrum of situations where the better damage of hers is more important than the reliability of his. So we can't have one go down to 35 seconds with CDR and the other be 150...

Karthus still need a little up on his ult. His cooldown is realy too big on lvl 16

Yes, lategame is where it feels the least justified.

no one need buff, lux need nerf

She's a bigger positive outlier than most are negative outliers, but negative outliers exist.

she litetally has a 27 second cd ult and use it to clear every wave.

While I can understand the frustration behind Lux's unbelievably short cooldown on her ultimate, I doubt reducing the CD time on Karthus' ultimate will make him any more viable in comparison. Oddly enough, Karthus is a top-tier high-elo pick in Korean solo queue at the moment. That being said, reducing the down time on his ultimate could lead to a dangerous situation. Yes, it has a ridiculously long cooldown, but the impact of the spell is significant, and that's why it is so high. A map-wide burst ultimate that is impossible to counter without specific items or abilities? That alone makes it a difficult spell to balance.

Korean meta is vastly different from everybody else's, though

agreed on the rest of your post, I'd rather his normal abilities be put up to par with the evolving game

I can agree with that. Although, Karthus falls into the same niche as DoT champions like Cassiopeia, Malzahar, Swain, etc. where he is difficult to balance effectively. His Q is a short-cooldown nuke, and his E is an AoE ticking damage spell. If his numbers get buffed even slightly, it can become overbearing. If his numbers are reduced slightly, he can become incredibly weak(er). The best way for Riot to buff him would be to give him some form of additional utility, maybe in how his wall works. A slow and MR shred is nice, but doesn't help that much unless you slam it down on your target. Which sort of defeats the purpose of it being a wall, and might as well just be an AoE nuke that does the same thing.

Just reverting the wall nerfs would be good enough. Maybe buff the mana cost, since 100 at rank one and a cooldown that doesn't get reduced per level is pretty brutal.

Personally I feel like his Q now has too long a delay for a spell he's supposed to spam. With ever-faster competition thanks to Riot's handing out MS on items like candy, and Cassiopeia's Q delay seeming to be halved with the upcoming rework (not for sure, it's definitely liable to change before finalized.), it seems about time Karthus get a little more reliable in his ability to combat people.

Might just be because I used to be really good with him before (my own opinion) and now I can't seem to win at all with him.

That's a viable way to go about it, yeah. As far as the Q delay goes, if they reduce it, they may have to raise the base damage, and get rid of the "mini-crit" part of it. The isolation part of the spell may be a bit overbearing if the spell is more spammable, tbh.

Karthus ult has to be long cooldown or he'd put unnecessary pressure on every lane and the jungle simultaneously, even if he isn't trying to do so on purpose. It's not like a TF ult or something where the threat of a tele is there until he picks someone whose not you to gank and then he goes in and your good to go for a few minutes, when karthus presses R he hits everyone else on top of his actual target as a side effect. it's like when janna and zilean were passively winning other lanes because of their global influence shifting otherwise evenly matched lanes in their favor without any effort on their part.

You can also kill lux to stop her damage, but if you kill karthus you may be baiting your team into getting aced since you wasted probably big cooldowns on him and hes going to continue doing damage for a while as his team continues to fight you.

Lux can ult to clear waves but she basically has to if she's trying to clear safely, and even then she also needs yo use her e to finish the wave unless ahead, and this costs tons of mana that she has to manage. Meanwhile karthus aoe farms at range with his q while regaining mana to the point where his q is basically his auto attack. You can't possibly deny karthus from farm or kills without having a dedicated assassin whose goal in life from level 1 is to dive karthus over and over, which is also super risky because of the wall of pain and karthus passive which makes going 1 for 1 even when ahead very possible.

Its lvl6 cooldown is completely justified, but lvl16? You can put 5 game-deciding teamfights between two of his ults.

? EDIT oh. Well, for that matter, any shield or heal including summoner 7 summoner 21, and item 3157.

Nerfing Lux's ult cd by 20 secs would be better i think. It's 30 seconds at max rank with 40 percent cdr.

people are still bad enough to rant about lux being op? she has been at 44-46% win ratio since her shield nerfs shes basically less viable than teemo jung at this point

if you aa her once or hit her with an ability it takes off half of her health
