Goodbye Solo Lane Pyke

Yet another support champion in a solo lane bites the dust...

Seriously, I didn't even think Solo Lane Pyke was problematic. The primary thing I've ever heard complained about Pyke is that his healing is way too high late game and needs some serious tuning back. Why not hit that and make the champion less problematic in that way??? Why does another support champion have to be pushed out of a solo lane? :/ I could understand pushing champs like Janna and maybe even Lulu top out of solo lanes as their playstyles were problematic. But what issue does Solo Lane Pyke provide? Is it because he acts like every other assassin? He shoves his wave and roams the map looking for ganks?

I just don't understand the issue or the logic behind a pick that's specifically pretty niche. :/

An assassin with 2 forms of hard cc? That shit doesn't belong in a solo lane with traditional assassins who all have very conditional cc.

Though if I'm to be totally honest, solo lane Pyke has never been a problem for me. Really just free kills when people pick that shit into my Fiora so as far as I'm concerned, it could stay. I need the freelo.

I like how they give overloaded kits to new/reworked champs, yet they gut them later (irila, akali). Makes me really want to try them, so I can be puzzled like you in the future.

Good riddance. Almost killing pyke just for him to walk back with like 80% health was cancer.
