Teambuilder

I know its unlikely to happen but I would give anything to have teambuilder back... I'm aware it wasn't without problems but I liked it a lot more than the current draft system. I liked being able to queue up as both a role and a champion and then being able to pick and choose which teams I stuck with based on my pick. It was more organic and a lot less toxic than blind.

I didn't even MIND the long wait times and sometimes you could get some really funny scenarios! I once ended up in a lobby where everyone was queued for Mid. I thought it was hilarious and stuck it out and we all, literally went mid. We were super underleveled but we won the game anyway. And honestly, in that kind of situation, we clearly weren't in the game to win but to have fun.

Could teambuilder be reconsidered as like another option under SR games? I don't think it would be hard to add and its not like it would matter if tons of people played it or not. I can't imagine that after Draft pick is unlocked, a ton of people play blind pick and its still there.

Teambuilder was the best thing to happen to league IMO. I'd rather wait 20 minutes and play as who I wanted with a team I'm fine with instead of going in with ADC fiddlesticks.

Team builder was like a custom game, but with way more fun into it, together with rewards for playing a normal game, and that was the best thing about it. Sadly, i don't think Riot will ever bring it back, because it would look like they made a mistake of removing it. Bringing it back would only admit that the game was better before the chages they made. There is still small hope tho. Remember URF? It came back as ARURF, a changed URF so it doesn't look like a mistake of removing a gamemode, but a "refreshement" and "fixing" the issues the old one had. Remember: Riot is in for the money. If they find a chance to earn more from Teambuilder, they will do it. If (var Money = TRUE ) Then { add to the game }; Else { remove / change / do not add };

Agreed. I loved TB. It was even more important at that time because role selection hadn't been implemented into draft yet. Despite that, I do think it would still be nice to have today.

I absolutely loved the original TeamBuilder where you picked your champ and your lane knowing that at some point you would get a match going with other people that were there to enjoy the game with some unusual builds or match ups.

The problem (personal observation) seemed to be that RIOT wanted to promote the whole e-sports thing and decided that such alternative playstyles wasn't conducive to that promotion.

The que times for ranked matches could at times be horrendous so RIOT took a gamble and decided to nix TeamBuilder believing that by doing so the amount of players who stuck to TB would then be forced to play Blind, Drafts and eventually right up the chain into Ranked play thereby increasing the player pool for ranked and reducing its que times.

But there was a sizeable chunk of players that just felt betrayed by this and have since stopped playing with any real consistency. Honestly I just felt betrayed. I had almost every champion at the time and loved learning them in TB but after they closed it there was no point in playing anymore and risking my account by the toxic nature of Riot's competitive play.

Now on the rare occasion I do play, it is usually in a custom game by myself, bots or upon very very rare occasion a single match or two of blind.

Losing TB completely ruined the game for me. Unfortunately it is not something I ever see them bringing back because they have already made the decision that Ranked play is king and I just don't see them implementing anything that could only serve to detract from that.
