The problem with your logic is that the first person to announce he's muting you, is trying to take the "high road" and not feed into your toxicity. It's a well known fact that typing more and MORE and MORE to someone that is just trolling/flaming/tilted or whatever, brings down the rest of the team. He is being proactive and trying to save the game.
Furthermore, just because he mutes your toxicity, doesn't mean he can't still ping and talk in chat to the others. By all means mute him, but don't expect him to feel bad.
I can't tell you how many times I have pinged after an Ace to quick to baron or drag and my team just decides to back and buy. COMPLETE waste of time. and then a few get salty about me pinging and go, "dude, stfu...not the right time..stop pinging". At that time, I will mute because they clearly don't understand the game and simple logic, so I mute said person, announce who I am muting so everyone knows, and continue to try and lead.
Mute me back all you want...but that just means you don't want to listen to sound logic.
