So I have to get an item that provides no hp/armor against a physical damage champ. What about ap champs, do they just have to bend over and accept that they are not allowed to 1v1 fiora?

A more realistic scenario of the death recap would be like

Flash: 34 true damage Minions: 194 physical damage Fiora: parry 60 magic damage

She has 5 bloodthirsters and her passives scales on ad, But no one will every do this in a real game cause then will die before getting to kill anyone, before anyone says she as the life steal to live the passive on BT doesn't stack and she has no stats in anything but damage

Get armor and hp don't help against Fiora lol, her ult does %hp true damage. You are probably more likely to survive against a Fiora with qss than you are with armor and hp.

Then don't pick tanks into Fiora, is it hat hard? Pick somebody that actually does damage, hell in that clg game that this thread is most likely referencing Darshan was actually winning that 1v1 against Fiora with Jax who is like her best matchup. There is no point trying to tank a champion that has something in her kit for tank busting. Do you also complain when a Vayne shreds you as a tank?

Ok, but here's the thing: Fine. Let Fiora have true damage. Riot gave it to her so her damage would stay relevent, not to delete tanks.

Also, when I'm going into Blind pick or I have to get somebody tanky to balance out our team, I don't really have a choice. Not to mention that Fiora destroys even the strongest champions like Darius and Illaoi in seconds.

That's a good point, and I agree. However, the tank is there to punish players for wasting cooldowns and damage on them. They build bulky to survive being focused long enough for their team to follow up. Fiora, however, simply can ult the tank, delete them, get a mega healing zone, and continue to slaughter the rest of the team. She can literally walk into the middle of the team to take out 3 people before she goes down, if they're lucky. With lifesteal, hitting vitals heals her more than a Soraka heal and paired up with her ultimate and parry, she becomes unstoppable.

Vayne, on the other hand, takes a while to farm up and get strong. She becomes a hyper carry that requires peel to deal damage. She's incredibly fragile, and can only focus one person at a time, but does it very well. The way to kill Vayne is to lock her down and kill her, which is possible to do when her tumble is down. She also takes quite a few autos to take out tankier targets, as she has a 3 hit passive tied to her tank-shredding. At least I have 4-5 seconds to live if even the most fed Vayne is shredding me down. With Fiora it's .4-.5 seconds.

So I'm supposed to be forced to pick something specific, not to mention a specific champion, just to survive against Fiora? That's more than sufficient evidence that this champion is completely and utterly broken and lacks proper and sufficient counterplay besides "lel you're a tank? then gg." I feel like Fiora's true damage should scale per level and MODERATELY so that we don't get stupid things like "Fiora deals 54% of a target's maximum health in true damage upon striking a vital." That means she can ult you, Q-auto and you're dead. It doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter how much damage you're building. It doesn't matter if you have the biggest defensive stats anybody could ever ask for. You're dead.

Yes, you probably shouldn't try to duel the Grand Duelist.

Play Tryndamere if you want to 1v1 Fiora.

Actually, yes. Fiora was designed to be the ultimate duelist, someone that has the tools needed to 1v1 EVERY SINGLE CHAMP in the game (including jax with rageblade, full build vayne and 1000 stacks nasus), let's just examine her kit:

Her passive and R allow her to deal with tanks;
Her passive (MS boost on vital hit), Q,E,R (MS boost) allow her to deal with slippery targets like or to dodge skillshots and kill champs like ;
Riposte gives fiora the ability to fight back against CC heavy champs (or champs that rely on hitting their only CC to win duels like );

As you can see above, she has everything in her kit to 1v1 all champs in the game. You are not supposed to 1v1 fiora, you are supposed to group and force teamfights, having fiora on the enemy team means they gain a lot of splitpushing and 1v1 potential, but lose in tf strength, and you need to capitalize on that. She is the opposite of Illaoi , that forces you to split or she will just rape your team in a 5v5.

Is it frustrating to be forced to change your playstyle because of a single champ? Yes. Is it broken? No.

Bait it with what exactly? She has no reason to ever use it other than to block cc or something threatening. We shouldn't discuss the balance of a champion under the assumption champion X is played by an incompetent player while champion Z is played by a competent player; because at that point you can make any champion seem rather weak.

why was this ever an issue? What champion can out duel The Grand Duelist? Certainly not a Burst mage. (Maybe Ryze or Cass, assuming you could get your CC down. or Malz) Only another Duelist could possibly challenge her in a 1v1.

Why do I continue to feel like nobody likes Duelists? Like trading dueling power for team fight doesn't work, or is unhealthy? Is that what people really think?

Um, unless your careless enough to go in one by one. I would call BS. Killing 2 champs by dueling them one at a time is one thing. But she wouldn't be able to handle 2 sources of damage and CC at once.

The more I watch this video, the more bad examples I'm seeing.

That match still wasn't even leveled, Fiora was 13 against 11 and 10. And secondly, her opponents wayware goofed. Jax whiffed his counterstrike, and fiddle didn't start channeling until after she warded the brush. Those two should have been Moving a half second sooner.

Any sufficiently fed melee carry can do that except maybe Yasuo and Gangplank.

Tryndamere also happens to rip Fiora's head off 1v1. The fact that he can easily fit a Mercurial Scimitar into his build just makes it worse for her.

She's a melee carry. Melee carries excel in duels and skirmishes.

Trading dueling power for team fighting is fine. However, when you are a really strong duelist and a strong team fighter there is a problem. Combine this with being able to burst tanks down and you have a big problem.

As for lane match ups: Teemo, Quinn, and Vayne all ruin her day in lane (at least they wreck me when I play Fiora; to be fair I suck at top lane in general).

NOTE: I am aware that Kalista cannot always outrun Fiora; it is down to items, skill, and timing.
