My problem with Xayah

She has the don't chase Xayah: Like don't chase Singed Don't engage Xayah: Like the don't engage Annie when her stun is up Don't group up: Like the don't be close to each other against Brand Don't attack her under turret: Like the watch out for Pantheon's passive-note when she's with Rakan Don't stand behind minions: Like the don't stand behind damage minion against Miss Fortune-Note don't ever stand behind minions against her Watch out for her indication of attack speed-Like when Tristana's gun is flaming-Note not usually very noticeable in terms of Xayah Back off when she uses her speed-Like dealing with Teemo you aren't ever going to catch her And the hope you have flash: Like Kalista when she throws her support right on top of you-Note at least with Kalista it's only a knock-up or escape

I'm not sure about you guys but to me these are the abilities I really hate from these specific champions: But you can manage against them because at least it's one thing you have to remember, with Xayah you kind of have to remember a lot. And the simple advice that everyone gives you avoid her feathers like that isn't obvious already we watched her champion spotlight we saw what she could do we understand her weaknesses. If it was so easily to avoid people wouldn't be playing her, just saying. Even a bad Blitzcrank will eventually get a pull off, you can't always avoid her feathers if you could she be completely 100% useless and her win rate would be 0%. We want the kill that's generally why a lot of us play this game is to try to kill each other that's the enjoyment most of us get that's why every champion in this game is op in a sense, my problem with Xayah is her entire kit reminds me of some of the most oppressive champions I have to face sometimes that annoys me when I accidently forget about one of them. Except with her, it's her entire fucking kit is to me oppressive as fuck. Unfortunately she's going to be a popular pick for a very long time because of her kit. At least with some of these champions they are not played every game, Xayah she's fun she's like an assassin which is why even though assassins aren't the best in terms of teamfights people still play them, because they are super fun to play as, so as a bronzie if I can't kill this bitch several times and snowball I can't carry my team therefore I'm going to be stuck in bronze. So yeah her kill potential is low that's not my problem I'm not worried about dying to her as much as I'm worried about not ever being able to kill this bitch.

Oppressive champions are champions that you can't do anything about because they can counter it and chase you down.

What stops her being oppressive is that while she is great at kiting, you can't say the same for chasing. She has a clearly defined niche as a kite adc. When Kalista was pick/ban oppressive, the difference is that she could use her passive to kite and to chase, had a slow, and an engage with her ultiamate. Xayah's chase potential on the other hand is really bad. She has a small MS boost and that is it. You can't get the root if they're running away, if you use your ultimate for a potential root you're removing your only defensive tool and not damaging them (as well as setting yourself to get CC'd when you land), you can't use your Q because it has a cast time that interrupts movement.

My advice when playing against Xayah is to keep moving to the side. This prevents her from hitting any feathers on a pullback on you. At most she could get 3 if you're slow by Q>AA, but even that is dodgeable.

I don't find any champions to be completely oppressive it's just certain abilities that I find oppressive for what they do. Like Pantheon's point click stun and tower dive potential from his passive. Annie's swirling white that completely zones everyone away, the stun sucks but oh well a lot of champions have stuns it's the swirling mist that's oppressive because while she has it she can zone off any champion from engaging on her or her team. Veigar for his aoe circle even if he doesn't catch you, you can't chase. Here I got the jump on her with Tristana leap she pull her feathers back snared me killed me. Ashe she almost died 3 times, flash in to finish her off recall root killed me. Like I said I'm not worried about her being able to kill me I don't like that I can't chase her and kill her. Like with ashe her q you can't always move to the side because of minions so if you can't go straight she's getting away especially with that movement speed she gets from kiting you. With Miss Fortune at least if you hit her she loses strut. It almost forces to you to get phantom dancer so you can at least move through minions. And the cast time isn't so bad in all honestly I usually see them use that only in laning for a little extra harass.

That just sounds like you don't like anything with zoning potential. Those skills are meant to command a zone. All skills do this, just to varying degrees. That doesn't make them oppressive, it makes them useful. It becomes oppressive when there is literally nothing that can be done about it. For example, LB used to have a silence on her Q. She would W in, double Q and pop back out. There was literally nothing the opponent could do because they would be silenced while Leblanc did her whole combo.

In your (Tristana) case, I would say you got outplayed. You burned your only mobility spell getting in, then got rooted because you didn't have it (and didn't use your ultimate to reposition Xayah, or move to the side after each auto or you wouldn't have got rooted). Either that, or you jumped on her when she already had feathers out (which you jumped into in this scenario) resulting in a kill. In either case, you played right into Xayah's strengths and got outplayed.

You can chase and kill her, but you have to be careful. If you're tristana, don't waste your jump going in. If you must use it, quickly use your E/autos and ult her away for the kill. If that isn't enough, she wasn't in kill range and you shouldn't have gone in.
