Games are suppose to be fun. Most people dont have fun playing support. This equals problem.

Imposing a duty on players who play a game because they want to ENJOY it, ruins the game on many levels. Forcing you to play support...its like taking your turn for guard duty. You don't want to do it, but you have to.

I understand some people like playing support, but the fact that autofill basically means support should tell you how unpopular and unfun most people think it is.

Riot should figure out a way to make support more fun, or some incentive that makes it more popular.

Remember, games are supposed to be FUN.

I have fun as support because I play actual supports like Blitzcrank Leona Thresh and Soraka , not these psudo-carry supports (e.x. Malzahar ) who want to get just as fed as the other roles that have become somewhat common currently. Trust me, nothing is more fun than landing a solid hook as Thresh, assisting your ADC with the kill, then saving their ass with the lantern, because they know that without you on thresh, they would have been screwed. Thus asserting your dominance over them (jk about that last part lol).

Do us all a favor and go play a different game. I heard WoW guarantees roles and 30 minute wait on DPS queues. League is too complicated for you and has a too high of a learning curve for you to handle.

Or if its that bad for you to play support then just dodge.

Nice way to make this about me. When you talk about MILLIONS of people you have to generalize. Furthermore, I have no problem playing support. But that wont change the fact that literally millions of players dont like it and it results in trolling and dodging. ANd since we aren't going to magically just change their minds, I would rather wait longer than have to deal with dodging, trolling, and people playing roles they are not good at.

Do you even realize how many things in life you generalize with no statistics to back it up? The fact that autofill means support and that Riot had to make autofill because not enough players want to play supports implies that a large percentage of players DONT LIKE SUPPORT.

About as often as queueing as Top/mid and getting auto filled jungle.

I queue top /mid every day. I RARELY get autofilled into anything but support.

Also, because the people who posts on the board are a small fraction of a percent that play, and their opinions and down votes don't reflect the average player in many cases.

You dont need statistics to say "a large percentage" in order for it to be large you first have to have a basis for information collection. There are a lot of people who i see that are scared to play jungle.. they dont like the pressure. and often times in blind games i find that for some reason ADC is the last role called and someone will be like OMG i hate ADC.. which is a hell of a lot different than what you would assume. and while riot introduced autofill doesnt mean that its always support. I get moved to jungle sometimes even though i select support as my main role.

I hate Corvettes... i think they are junk cars.. that doesnt mean that Corvettes are junk... and that the majority of people out there hate corvettes. just like you hate support... doesnt mean that everyone or even a large percentage of people dont like support. just that you dont like support. And from my experience... the majority of people who hate support are those who only enjoy the game when their KDA ratio is really high on kills instead of assists. Generally speaking of course.. not specifically stating you. just thats the majority of the mentality that i come across.. those guys that sit in chat and say ADC even though someone already called it and then say they are going adc anyway because they are going to carry.. lol.. those guys are douches and need to uninstall the game. because the focus of the game is team work.. and that team requires a support.

Oh no way man. I tried the PvP out on wow and actually felt like it was the worst PvP experience I've ever found. It was ridiculously unbalanced and very boring imo. Although the MOST boring was the old classic Runescape. Like, launch Rubescape when you would sit there and watch the cheesiest sword animation over and over again and see this pop up above your head: 3, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 2. For like 2 hours, lol.

I main UH DK in pvp so I have lots of fun pulling and smashing healers but I know what you mean on how stale it is.

Hands down the best pvp MMO was Guild Wars 2 World Vs World Vs World. Server loyalty and open world pvp with siege warfare made a great pvp experience. Sucks that game died...makes me sad.

Sadly, I never got to play GW2, but I really wanted to.

My favorite MMO for PvP is when DAoC introduced the massive RvR battles. It sounds a lot like GW2. Basically you could have hundreds fighting hundreds, fighting hundreds (as long as your cpu and gpu could keep up) and it was badass.

I especially loved what relics stood for: a realm wide boost to either attack or magic... and those suckers weren't easy to take.

Believe it or not, if someone on bot was toxic in my last 100 games it mostly was the support. Mainly Jannas, Namis and Sorakas.

Well I play a crap ton of support, so usually I only notice the ADC's toxicity. But some of them believe they own and command the support like their own personal slave/servant/babysitter.

I had a Zyra who never used a spell in lane blame me as MF for never landing a Q when the enemies were standing on the side of the minion waves since Zyra was too busy standing under tower instead of pressuring. Another game I had a Brand cry "ADC does no damage" after dying twice in lane and then roaming so I was 1v2 until my tower died.

It goes both ways, believe me.

Support is my favorite role and in Blinds i only run into a very small amount of "DOUCHE ADC" players who think they can decide what i buy and what i do.

To be a good support... You have to play like you were that ADC. if you feel the lane should be pushing at the moment then you can help "Speed up" the ADC by taking some health off of minions so they can kill them faster and the lane will push.

Thats your decision to help as support. if the ADC doesnt like it... too bad. its not just his lane and like him you want to win the lane. If he sees you speeding up he can ask you to slow down or speed up if he feels so inclined but in my experience.. only like 1 out of 30 ADC will even say anything when you are attacking minions to help push.

I have ran into ADC players who literally fed the enemy team because i was bruising minions. and he said every time i auto attacked a minion he would feed. if you run into this type of ADC.. PLEASE keep attacking the minions and let them feed so you can report them for feeding.

Because while taking it upon yourself to help the adc push is not against the rules and it not a reportable offense.. feeding is. and if you are an ADC like this.. i hope your account gets perma-banned.

I feel like a lot of people who say "i hate support support sucks" are those same people who dodge when they dont get their lane becuase they were "born to carry this game" because they are "gods gift to league of legends"

if you cant play multiple roles.. then please uninstall. some lanes may not be to your taste or liking but when that happens try a new champion., learn something new. dont throw a tantrum cause you didnt get YAS MID like this guy did with me the other day. 37 minutes he complained about it. and he still got an S+ top lane YAS.. but he is still a noob because he wants to cry about not getting his preferred lane.

well.

what i like to do with playing support, is shit over people. my target of preference is the enemy jungler and second target of preference is the enemy mid lane.

so to make the role more fun for me, give me more opportunities to shit over these specific opponents, and better tools to do so.

P.S. I prefer it when i come to their lane or their jungle and shit on them there. waiting for his mighty enemy jungler to decide it's 4-man-dive time isn't nearly as fun as killing him at his blue buff and grabbing the buff for myself.
