Courage of the Colossus in the Jungle
First of all: I've already seen videos on this subject (eg Redmercy) but I wanted to make a board post explaining my current experience with it.
I've only played a few games so far, some jungle and some support. I've been straight spamming this mastery (see title) and I have two different stories to tell. First of all, this mastery feel amazing in the jungle. It has a 30 second cooldown, which is just short enough that I can serial-gank all three lanes and proc it each time. Now, what this does for me is that it enables me to stop worrying about minion damage, or that the enemy might turn on me and kill me. Especially at early levels, they just aren't going to be able to do that. Later on, it might help me tank an extra tower shot. Which has netted my team a few kills already. However, the story is different in lane. As support, I couldn't get the mastery to proc consistently, and had to deal with harass. As the game went on, I felt less and less tanky because I didn't have the bonus health from the previous mastery, and I died a lot more than I was accustomed to. However, in the end, I don't think it was a bad option, since it's always up for that first engage in every teamfight. And since I was a health-stacking support, that was fine. The difference is that Courage of the Colossus is a late game choice for laning tanks and an early game option for aggressive junglers. I personally love it, but I am worried that it gives a little too much to non-tank junglers.
What are your thoughts? Have you seen it much yet? Who seems to take it? (I've been playing almost exclusively Xin Zhao for now. And on him I love it.)
