Assassin's path is pretty much inferior to hookshot/wall dive

Compare the two:

HOOKSHOT/WALL DIVE

#1 Can be casted at range #2 has direct combat purposes in the form of a mini quinn vault that also gives camille a strong AS steroid #3 Terrain can be passed while simultaneously dashing into an enemy on the opposite side for the effects written above in point #2 #4 Has no cooldown on specific pieces of terrain #5 Not reliant on any sort of scale for the terrain-bypass speed #6 Can be used to jump off of the wall instead of having to go through it to the other side #7 CAN BE USED ON THE WALLS LOCATED AT THE EDGES OF THE MAP (due to #6)

ASSASSIN'S PATH

#1 Can only be casted at melee range #2 has no direct combat purposes, it is purely a roam ability #3 Has a long ass freaking cooldown on specific instances of terrain #4 dash speed is dependent on Movement Speed #5 Once dash is started it cannot be overridden to jump off the same wall in any direction, AKA you're forced to have to jump through the wall to the other side #6 cannot be used on terrain at the edges of the map due to #5

The only real pro Assasin's path has over hookshot/wall dive is that it has a lower cooldown (So long as you aren't trying to jump over the same piece of terrain, then assassin's path's cooldown is massively inferior to wall dive). However, the max rank cooldown difference of 8 seconds (assuming camille hasn't itemized any cdr which is stupid since she rushes tri force) is rather negligible since many times you are crossing through a piece of terrain and then walking for a bit before crossing the next instance of terrain.

Ideally a red will come in and either:

#1 concede that either camille is retarded or talon sucks #2 somehow justify this (I would be baffled, but at least its a red coming in and showing the community why riot has allowed this to happen).

It's almost like they're two different champions, with two different kits, and different ways they allocate their power.

Yes, Camille is busted and Talon could use some buffs, but comparing them like this doesn't make much sense.

I'm not allowed to compare a roaming tool to a roaming tool?

That's absurd. Just because she's a diver and not an assassin doesn't mean that her terrain-roaming ability should be 10X better than talon's.

You can bodyblock Camille's E, and if you have some way of following her over the wall (hi, Kassadin), she's going to have some trouble getting away again. Talon can e over a wall, then e over the next one, and keep going across the whole map. Not even Kassadin can chase him, because he'll oom himself.

Camille's E is a large part of her dueling power, so if she uses it to escape, she's going to have trouble turning and fighting, and if she uses it to engage, she has no escape, whereas Talon's E has different strengths and weaknesses.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Camille isn't op, or that Talon doesn't need some buffs, but they are very different abilities on very different champions.

Assassins path has a .5 second cd....hookshot has an 18 sec cd early....yes you cant use the same walls for a while, but it just means you gotta figure out different paths, also cams e is retarded because its one of the most overpowered mobility skills in league of legends, so its prob gonna get a range reduction anyways, comparing 2 completely different skills doesnt work very well, if your gonna compare cams e, compare it to something like heca ult

Static 2 second cooldown.

And both are comparable, since camille also uses hookshot to roam a lot and it's roaming component works pretty much exactly like talon's jump, except it's loaded with a ton more on top at the cost of a somewhat higher cooldown that becomes largely irrelevant at rank 5 E and post tri force.

Still, i would never compare those 2 abilites, plus talons got other shit going for him anyways, cam is just overloaded right now

Camille's hookshot also can't traverse all terrain. Some walls are too think.

I like Talon's E but I won't deny he's got problems.

It can traverse most of the terrains and make up for some of the non-traversable ones by simply hooking to the wall on the opposite side and then jumping off of said wall.

I fail to see how talon's E is any better except for the fact that it has a better cooldown very early on (which is not only conditional since each terrain also has its own cd but also silly because talon's roams aren't scary at all compared to other mid laners like katarina and leblanc).

Honestly his E should just not cancel stuff.

Talon's E is a very fun ability and actually sets him up to a surprisingly large amount of potential, provided the player is skilled. There are some routes he could take, while killing a target during that route, and then still go from point A to B faster than any other champion in the game. His tactical/flanking gameplay and subsequently his playmaking potential are all through the roof in the hands of a skilled player. I don't see a reason to compare him to Camille like this (she's too powerful for sure, just doesn't make sense as they have different kits and gameplay goals).
