People are complaining about Ekko
And we've already known about his kit for how long?

We already knew he would be OP, so why are we acting surprised?

He didn't. They lowered the AP ratio on his [W]'s passive. Still wasn't enough.
Most of the reasonable arguments are that he's overtuned.
Personally, if it's a matter of tuning, I'd be much more careful about making any balance changes to touch him, but besides that there's not much in his kit (at least that I've seen) that makes everyone reel over about how broken it is (without ignoring gigantic weaknesses his W and R have).
For a champion that builds Nashor's and Lich Bane as core items, it makes no sense why he has such high ratios on his innate passive and ult.
I could understand the shield having a massive AP ratio if it wasn't for how high his burst damage is. Why bother giving him such an important survival tool if he bursts them down so fast in the first place?
No, exactly. The major complaints are ratios.
There's not much actually "broken" about Ekko's kit in the way Poppy's kit is broken, for example. He's just way overtuned, which honestly should almost always be expected out of a new champion, that they aren't well tuned.
contrary to what you may believe but out of the large ammount of people who play, a very small fraction (including myself) do not play on the pbe or check every single champion videos when they hit the pbe.
On the contrary, people like you in PBE is the reason why champions come out OP as fuck.
I'm not in the PBE. I just actually payed attention to his kit.
