The feeding botlane paradigm has run its course

Incognonymous··2 votes·611 views

Retire it. I'm tired of the game being decided at 5 minutes because of shitters feeding their asses off in botlane.

Regardless, I have resolved to leave* EVERY game where my botlane has only half the CS/kills as the enemy's. You are not Qtpie. Do not rush GA, you rancid piece of shit, and if you do, don't feed.

If you throw tantrums like a toddler and leave your teammates in a worse situation then you don't belong in League. Go find a nice single player game where you can't damage your teammates' game experience.

I give people the benefit of the doubt, but there is a very clear line where that has to stop. 2:1 kill and CS ratio is an absolutely reasonable place to draw the line.

Regardless, I will never negotiate with ELO terrorists. Never.

What kind of joke line is that? Did you even think it though?

You're literally saying "I'll take the loss so I'm more likely to get terrible teammates the next game and have to do this again." You're your own worse enemy here.

....if botlane is down by half, you're going to lose regardless. There is no danger in getting worse teammates if you already have a team full of shitters setting up African Relief Camps and ending world hunger. There is no danger here, except leaver's island or a different queue. I'd rather play with other leavers than feeders.

Nothing is certain, you have to out-play the enemy. Carry from your position, or use a different strategy. If you turtle properly your team can make up the gold disadvantage and catch back up in power levels. People who give up and leave / surrender never get that opportunity because they aren't still in game to take advantage of it.

I'd rather play with other leavers than feeders.

Leavers and feeders are not mutually exclusive. Plenty of leavers are players who feed and then give up. You're not escaping anything by doing this, just setting yourself up to play with even more toxic players.

Three seasons ago I would've agreed with you. The state of the game does not allow for come-from-behind wins.

Feeding is toxic. There's nothing more toxic, in fact. Someone verbally abusing you can be muted. You can't mute a feeder, nor can you even minimize their impact.

Of course it doesn't. You have to be taking advantages and working to get ahead in other areas on the map. Push objectives, create more pressure to force the enemy to do something other than focus on snowballing their winning lane.

Feeding is toxic. There's nothing more toxic, in fact. Someone verbally abusing you can be muted. You can't mute a feeder

Intentional feeding is toxic. People who are genuinely tilted or just bad are not. They need guidance if they are to stop. Getting angry at them does literally nothing to help you.

nor can you even minimize their impact.

This is only true in the case of intentional feeders. With teammates who are tilting or are bad, you can communicate with them to help them cool off or learn what to do better. The thing is you can't be insulting or condescending because that will just push them further over the edge.

Ya now in my map (Twisted Treeline) we have these thing called bot scripters, and in an effect 2v4 i can still win. There is a whole lot more to this game than KDA

IS THIS THE BEST YOU HAVE TO OFFER, GAMEPLAY?

Lyndris1 votes

Yes, because how you play is everything, game sense and knowledge are my best tools. I lack mechanical skill and get bored csing and go all aggro, which means i tend to be behind in cs. Power is not everything, if it were outplaying wouldn't be a thing.

I understand feeders are frustrating but we all have bad games. Besides I came to play, not afk. And from reading this thread, and as a mage main, You lack comprehension of the marksmen role. Their positioning is rather difficult.

And lastly you should consider how full is the glass?

Maybe, maybe not. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2489414243/42592968?tab=overview @ 9:00 Draven - 3/1/0 51 CS Thresh - 0/0/2 13 CS vs Xayah - 1/4/0 34 CS Sona - 0/0/1 2 CS

Thresh + Draven were more than double Xayah + Sona, don't even try to nitpick the CS because you know full well that a Draven with 3 kills has cashed in on enough gold from his passive to make up for the CS difference.

And yet, Draven and Thresh lost the game, because other lanes have an impact too.

At the 14 minute mark their team lost their gold lead and never got it back. They lost the game in 33 minutes, despite having a fed Riven, a Draven who had been doing so well early game, and a Vi who had been ganking wonderfully.

You're only Silver 2, it's time you realize that games like these have the same types of players you're playing with. Comebacks happen all the stinking time in Silver.

Nice anecdote. No one ever said other lanes couldn't make a difference, only that botlane was more impactful. You had a gold lead for 70% of the game. This is not evidence. If anything it proves my point. You had a feeder botlane, that is what I am railing against.

You're only Silver 2, it's time you realize that games like these have the same types of players you're playing with. Comebacks happen all the stinking time in Silver.

I don't play Ranked. Nor is Rank relevant in normals. Please, stop this retarded fallacy. It's embarrassing.

...you meant the game actually wasn't decided, and that you could influence it, it was just harder?

You had a gold lead for 70% of the game. This is not evidence.

Did you forget your own statement at the start of your post?

You would have left the game at 5 minutes, when Xayah had already died twice and Draven had a kill. Even if we give you the very generous 9 minutes I did, you'd have looked at 2 kills to 7, with Draven having 3 kills, and decided the game was over.

You certainly can't use events that happened after the 14 minute mark in your defense, because you would have left before them.

I don't play Ranked. Nor is Rank relevant in normals.

It happens as often in Normals as it does in Ranked.

Please, stop this retarded fallacy. It's embarrassing.

I do believe I'm using fewer fallacies than you. At the very least, these two sentences you gave are Red Herrings, completely unrelated to the topic at hand.

Rules and exceptions. Botlane is more impactful. If botlane is behind, you will likely lose the game. That doesn't mean you will, it just means its more likely. In your example, top, mid, and jungle were all ahead. In my example, every lane was behind, botlane especially. You don't come back from that.

Sure would've. If I'm going to lose, it's because I decided to. I will not give that decision to some shitter botlane.

You certainly can't use events that happened after the 14 minute mark in your defense, because you would have left before them.

I can, I am, and I will. Are you implying that you didn't win because of the massive gold advantage?

In my game at 9 minutes both Mids had 1 kill, 1 death, Draven's top had 1 kill to 0, and Draven's Jungler had 2 kills to 0. How, exactly, is that "ahead"?

Any lane being ahead means you're more likely to win the game, not just bot lane.

False. But please, try and quote them.

I already quoted the Red Herring example. Just now you've used Shifting the Burden of Proof. The post as a whole uses Retrospective Determinism to try and cast a few events from the past as destine to repeat again (else you would play the games), as well as the Two Wrongs Make a Right fallacy.

I'm sure we could go on, but as I've already noted your burden of proof shifting I think I'll wait for you to at least count that many fallacies in my post.

Please enlighten me more oh great Silver 2 player, how can I improve?

Yes, that's right folks, the advice the OP is offering isn't coming from a Challenger or even Master tier player... I know, I was just as surprised as you were.

Although maybe I should give the OP some credit, I'm surprised with that attitude you're even Silver at all. I just love the match history; the OP calls people "shitters" and yet is the one feeding in most of their games with marginal (at best) CS.

I'm actually not Silver 2. I don't play Ranked. Someone hacked my account and has been playing Graves Jungle in Ranked. They didn't spend my loot stuff, didn't change my password, they left all my masteries and rune pages intact, so I saw no harm in letting them continue. I even left them a message in my masteries titles not to get the account b&.

To be honest, I hate ranked. I'm referring to Normals, which I realize isn't the gold standard for balance, but it's a game wide phenomenon.

EDIT: And just to be clear, no one takes your appeals to authority seriously. Logical fallacies are fun and all, I know. I never asked you to improve. I asked you to stop offering your ass to the enemy every time you get a fancy.

Ordinarily I'd just let what you said stand on it's own, but I can't resist. You're telling us that someone has hacked your account, plays terribly and rage quits games, then you come on the forums and talk about how you rage quit games while playing terribly... Man, that "hacker" has your precise attitude and playstyle. You guys should be friends IRL.

Somewhat back to the topic: While I don't like it when someone says "it's only normals", you really shouldn't be raging at people because they feed, we all have bad games... apparently you and your, ehem "hacker" friend, have many. Try to be a bit more decent to people, maybe?

No, the last few normal games were mine. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The Ranked games are his. I didn't ragequit. Some ELO terrorists were wasting my time (Mao was 0-3 at 4 minutes), so I wanted my eight minutes to do whatever rather than watch this fiesta unfold. And "playing terribly" is an exaggeration. Every lane was behind before the 7 minute mark. What exactly is a jungler supposed to do against a laner with a level and gold advantage? The deaths I did have were in a futile attempt to gank my braindead botlane, the catalyst of this thread.

No. "I'm having a bad game" is fine. "I gave up first blood, teleported to lane and immediately died again" is not okay. Granted, that was toplane, and more to Anastaecia's point than mine. I just think botlane is generally more impactful.

That's true. Often multiple lanes at a time. The difference is, botlane is insanely impactful and very often determines the game.

Anastaecia1 votes

Exactly, but this is recent. ADCs and Supps (I'm one) didn't just get bad overnight. It's part of the current meta. It's not bot's fault. There has been a lot more early ganks and mid roaming bot from what I have seen in the past few weeks.

TBH, I miss being able to chill for the first 10m just mildly exchanging with the enemy bot, but anymore, you can expect some sort of action before level 6.

Played since s2. I guess that was around the advent of 0 support CS, and I would say it started then. Granted, the game speed being faster and more snowbally, your observations are likely true.

Leaverbuster can't punish anyone before they AFK at least one time. You can't avoid getting an AFK once in a while, even if it works perfectly.
