Making the Vieger Changes not a complete nerf while staying true to the spirit of the changes.

Have veigers wall act as an azir wall for enemys trying to escape it during charge up. (In otherword block dashes and bounce them back) This prevents him from getting the instant stun that riot is trying to nerf, but still keeps him from becoming completely useless against any character with a dash (every single popular mid-lane assassin). After the charge up it stuns.

Stun no longer useless, and still accomplishes the change riot wanted (namely no more instant stun, though why they are so anxious to ping this characters CC is beyond to me, hes already not played)

Wow, you've managed to come up with something even more broken than the original E, well done.

I like that, to sort of compliment their goal of making it more of a "cage where he takes pot shots at his victims" than "an instant stun where he instagibs the unlucky schmuck who he trapped". It would allow more instances where Veigar doesn't instant stun (meaning he has to aim more loosely with dark matter) while providing a little more reliability for actually trapping enemies than the delay they have now.

Veigar cackles as tenacity, mikaels, and QSS no longer affect him.

No thanks.

EDIT: Also this would make it so that there would be literally 0 reason to level this ability up, which would probably result in Riot doing something stupid and sticking a passive buff to the ability so that there would be some benefit to ranking it a la Zed W or Darius E.

Next, Jarven's ult should be inescapable to all (blocking all dashes and such) It's really the only way to be truly helpful.

That would be a big buff, but isn't that what we're after? Removing DFG was a huge (indirect) nerf. I think big buffs should be on the table.

Veigar's one real defense was the stun, which was also a key part of his 100-0 burst, and his biggest contribution to teamfights. With it nerfed, it can no longer be used to stop a charging assassin. (The other defense he had, if really fed and being targeted by someone who's at least sort of squishy, was to throw a stunless DFG+R+Q and obliterate the assassin. This was rarely an option with DFG, and will almost never be an option without it.)

He's got no mobility. He's got no durability. It was an interesting challenge to balance the desire to not get split open by Darius against the desire to blow up that infuriatingly fed enemy mid against the desire to help your team in a big fight.

The thing is though, even a fully active Event Horizon doesn't stop dashes, it just stuns upon movement end.

The only way that would work is if you removed the stun and left it as just the cage, similar to disruptor's kinetic field in DotA. Without the stun, the proposed change would still be better because of it's ability to act as a Jarvan Ult on a lower cooldown but I do like it though.
