Hunter's Machete start vs Hunter's Talisman start?

Can anyone who has tested this more explain on which champs you should start one or the other?

For exmaple, I play a lot of jungle. The game recommends I start . The way I see it is that Wukong is a very AA reliant champion for his clear. He gets attack speed and has an empowered AA that is also an AA reset. So I always start Machete because it makes more sense to me.

Another example is which is also recommended to start . But......he doesnt even have mana lol

What jungle item do i start? Do i utilize basic attacks more than AoE abilities? item 1041 if yes. Do i utilize AoE abilities more than basic attacks? item 1039 if yes.

Zac takes talisman because every single skill of his is AOE. He's going to clear faster with the talisman as opposed to the machete, since the machete is only onhit damage and lifesteal, neither of which zac uses.

Wukong takes it for mana and because 2/3 of his skills are aoe.

I understand that Wukong is mana hungry as I main him. But mana isnt really a problem before I can get the talisman anyway. Also, item 2032 is awesome on him. His E and W are both multi-target, but the vast majority of his damage for clearing is his AAs

In short, as Wukong's abilities are able to hit multiple targets, item 1039 is able to trigger and deal the damage over time to them along with giving you the drained health. Also, even though Wukong does auto a ton, he can't take full advantage of item 1041 unless he has decent attack speed and attack damage. This essentially means that for single target junglers like Warwick have to take unless he constantly switches targets, which is by no means effective against camps with multiple creeps. In contrast, Wukong has the abilitiy to clear those camps quickly with his W and E, going even faster with item 1039 and stay healthier than with item 1041 . But you can do whatever you please, nobody is going to complain unless somebody takes offense to it for some reason.

Its not about the mana, its about the healing you can get with talisman on aoe skills. I can jungle clear with Annie if I start talisman. Just drive by chickens and put W + E. Same with WK, his sustain is bad so talisman has him covered thanks to clone and nimbus strike.
