Mark people in postgame screen so you don't get queue'd with them again

A sort of system where you would mark or "blacklist" people that you don't want to get queue'd with again would be really helpful imo. I think it would cut back on toxicity and be really good for dealing with people that are either salty, passive-aggressive, terrible, or just rub you the wrong way.

This wouldn't be a permanent get-away-from-me thing, but it would be something that just separated you from them for about an hour or so, or until they log off. Basically, it would be like going to your teacher and saying "I don't want to sit next to Billy, may you please move me from him? He's not really doing anything punishable, but he's just bothering me and I'd like to be somewhere else". The amount of times people got marked wouldn't be kept track of, you can't get punished for being marked, and the person that you marked won't be notified that you marked them. It's kinda like a wall between you and the person you don't want to play with.

It could look like this: http://imgur.com/VPAkRQ4

(just click in the red box to mark them. i made this on paint in 0.523 seconds)

What do you guys think?

I think the reason this does not exist is because over time it would make matchmaking pretty hard to do, even considering the sheer amount of people there are.

That's what I was thinking too, which is why it would only separate you from them for about an hour or so, or until they log off.

I mean, it would probably make queue times longer, but making sure someone isn't on your team would be worth it for me.

It seems very unlikely you could be Q'd with them again...

I could see that getting abused, so ehh

It will expire after an hour, so it can't be abused for too long. Besides, the only person you'd be hurting by marking everyone is yourself. The more players you mark, the more time it will take to find a team that you can play with

I would say one week would be best. That way you're not killing the entire pool of players while not having to deal with that person again until you've forgotten them completely.

One week might be a little long, since you usually don't get paired with the same person again after a few hours, unless you're both on the exact same page. Maybe somewhere in the middle though? An hour might be a little short

This can be abused in Challenger and so. Even if it's only temporary.

Arakadia1 votes

Wait, why would people spam this? How does it help them?

Imagine playing against Faker or Huni and you don't want to get him next game. Then you mark someone again and the cycle goes on and on.

There's not that many players in Challenger (top 1% of the Ranked playerbase), so everyone basically knows each other and it would make it really easy for them to identify who they do or don't want to play with.

I actually like the idea. plus it would give riot an easier way to see if a person deserves a punishment for the reports they get by the amount of blacklists they had "oh this person got 3 reports for intentionally feeding but has 3 blacklists" "oh this other person has 2 reports for flaming and has 20 blacklists"

Secretly, I was hoping that this wouldn't be the case. I wanted one of the uses for this to be for players that you find bad, or for players who don't have the play style you like, or you just want a new teammate or something. A general sort of removal for any reason was what I was going for, but it would be helpful for Riot in determining whether or not someone deserves a ban

I once went against the exact same vlad top 4 games in a row then had him on my team for the 5th game. I didnt mind, he was nice and it gave both of us good experience on how to play vs each other's matchups (I lost the first game and lane, won the second went even in lane, won the next 2 lane and game, won the 5th with him being in mid and me top, both winning lane).

It was really fun, he was a good guy, not one I'd use this feature for, but if it were a guy I didnt want to learn to play against and this happened, I'd defo use.

Those kinds of players aren't common, I hope you friended him so you can play with him more. Makes the experience better :)

I did, but he quit shortly after due to excessive toxicity.

Ok the time limit thing on it is actually a good suggestion. Fixes the issue of people blacklisting players that they don't want to go against because they are better and the like

Your Next Kill1 votes

Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for the input :)

Then nobody would be left to play with.

Your Next Kill1 votes

Not exactly, unless you blacklist everybody. Plus it expires after a certain time, so you won't be left alone forever if you blacklist an entire team or something.

RouterSmiter1 votes

no you would just mark off every person that feeds, and never have to play with someone bad

Your Next Kill1 votes

Like I said, it wouldn't be a permanent mark, it would just separate you from them for a short while. Plus, that's sort of the point. If someone is really bad and you don't want them on your next team, just mark them and play a game guaranteed to be without them.

having people that suck are part of the game

It fucks up matchmaking, so very likely, not gonna happen.

At least according to Riot.

A blacklist feature would be nice. 1.Mark teammate(s),opponent(s) 2.Write a short note about the reason for marking.YOU should not be able to mark anybody without a good reason so the note must be long enough. 3.Next time if that person is in lobby with me i get notified, there is a little X or whatever next to their name, portrait and hovering/clicking it will show me the note.

Sure you could iterate it further and make your idea happen too but i would like a simple version first.

Too many players would mark every players who only had a bad game. It would fuck up matchmaking over time.

It could be a good idea if we had a limitation of maybe 10 players to mark.
