Trinkets are now overpowered for vision AND have FREE upgrades at lvl 9.

and people STILL refuse to upgrade them for 36+ mins.

why is it so hard? why? u cant get any better than free, holy shit. its not that hard ppl... 5 ppl with blue trinket is pretty much the definition of map hacks.

its not like they are forgetting either. i practically SPAM the chat with "UPGRADE TRINKETS I TS FREE" every 5 seconds. no one fucking does it. its like they are intentionally trying to avoid upgrading them as if it was a plague...

i shit you not, the only time these kids upgrade trinket is if i threaten to /ff or throw the game by constantly reminding them to upgrade.

They aren't designed to be "upgrades", they're supposed to be "sidegrades". The blue trinket achieves that goal just fine, but the Oracle's Alteration is essentially just a straight upgrade to the sweeper, which does need to be fixed.

blue trinket is a straight upgrade. the ward itself last forever, it has 4000 range, and its on like a 50 sec CD. its superior to the yellow trinket in every way with its only downside being that its visible, which is irrelevant anyway because of item 3364 sweeping away invisible wards.

That's an extremely massive downside. You're also forgetting that it doesn't hold charges.

it really isnt when you consider how powerful item 3364 is when it comes to dewarding. 5 teammates with blue trinkets is insanely powerful for vision and shouldnt be underestimated... 4000 range means you never have to overextend just to ward deep into enemy jg or around baron pit. it doesnt need to hold charges because of its short CD.

That's a problem with the Oracle Alteration being way too powerful, not yellow trinket being bad, which I pointed out in my first post.

it doesnt matter if its "way too powerful". its in the game and there is no signs of it getting changed any time soon. the item makes invisible trinkets almost pointless. and since it IS in the game it makes yellow trinket a weaker option to blue trinket. if you are the type that likes to TP to wards then yellow trinket is still relevant, but for VISION CONTROL blue is just flat out better.

4000 range, -60% CDR, last forever unless destroyed by enemy. its a flat out upgrade dude. regardless of how it was "designed" to be a sidegrade, because we all know how "perfect" riot is at designing shit, it still came out to be a upgrade.

on supports that buy sightstone this is even more of an obvious upgrade unless they go red.

Uhh the blue trinket isn't really an important upgrade at all. It still acts like the old Blue Trinket where it can be killed by one hit, and you already have the 2 charges upgrade on your yellow so the blue ward upgrade isn't needed.

Do note that item 3363 is visible & dies from one hit, so assuming the enemy isn't that lazy in checking for enemy wards, it's not a very worthy upgrade just because "BUT ITS INFINITE HURR DURR DURR"

it being infinite is actually a big deal compared to the old one as it only need to last 50-60 seconds to get huge value out of it, which it usually does if u ward the right areas.

2 charges on yellow means nothing when enemy laner just sweeps it the instant u put it down.

A Yellow trinket item 3361 that stores 2 charges overtime, has to be sweeped item 3364 in order to be killed.

A Blue upgrade item 3363 that stores no charges though it has low cooldown, enemy be like "oh look what we have here" and gets killed by a simple Karthus AA.

I'd say the blue upgrade is more suitable for ADCS or any other champions who're vulnerable to facechecking or getting ganked on, but do know not everyone needs the blue upgrade.

you can sweep like the entire river at drag off of one item 3364 activation you do know this right? the moving sweeping effect last 10 seconds... whats more is that it also deactivates the ward entirely once u move over it.

you can constantly drop down blue trinkets you want every 60 seconds and often the enemy wont kill the thing for awhile. it has the same effect as pink ward in that it doesnt die for awhile if you place it in the right areas.

the bush behind enemy red buff, both river bushes, tri, top and bot side bushes in mid and late game, and any other places ppl just dont walk to often. more importantly it doesnt have a cap, so ur not limited to a max of 3...

i guess its gonna take awhile before people catch on to how good blue trinket is over yellow just like its gonnna take some time for certain jglers to realize how good item 2303 is

That's a good question, what is the point of keeping the regular red trinket instead of the "red totem"?

Is there any benefit to not being able to move the radius?

I think the only benefit is the 'standard' sweeping lens can be cast at range, allowing you to potentially sniff out an ambush, whereas the 'sidegrade' you have to walk pretty close to see anything and it might be too late by then.

The oracle sidegrade still seems better to me.
