Why does every summoners rift game revolve around the ADC

Assassin: Kill the ADC and gtfo Fighter: Kill the ADC and stay in the fight Mage: Kill the ADC and stay back Support: Make sure your ADC stays alive Tank: Become a meat shield to protect your ADC ADC: The whole game relies on you so if you die you've lost, you need to stick with your team because you have 0 resistances but can shred the enemy, your choices, positioning and who you focus can make or break a team so don't f**k it up.

Notice how the game literally revolves around the death and protection of the ADC? There is literally no variety, you have to have a champion that crits or does on hit to win, you need to kill the enemy's ADC first to win, you need to protect your ADC to win. Your whole purpose of being in a Summoners rift game is to protect the ADC.

Sure you might get the slim chance of Mid, top or jungle getting a Pentakill, or the Yasuo that goes in with a 5 man nockup. But with Yasuo permabanned good luck.

Seriously though I hate the fact that I have to rely on the ADC to win you the game, if you have a bad ADC or a lack of an ADC (why are people still taking Herimerdinger and Swain bot) you've basically lost. I just want the game to be reliant on how the team play together, the engage with the perfect follow up. If you had a bad engage where Malphite ults Zac and Yasuo then ults, don't worry because you still have an ADC that can ruin a game!

What do you guys think?

I don't see the issue

There is literally no variety

this makes no fucking sense, if you have to either kill or protect an adc there is variety in the first place

and let's not pretend that you have no other options Karthus can in some conditions rofltstomp an entire team alone, adc won't matter

yeah so adc relient when Vlad goes in and killls half the team by himself.

The backline will always have a high impact in ANY game you play. That is the tradeoff.

tbh it kinda relies on junglers more than adc's. Adc's are squishy af after all and are easily targeted by bruisers. junglers make sure lanes are in check and the enemy jungler won't be carrying the whole team by giving kills to each lane every now and then. They pretty much make sure every lane on their team is ahead or at least not behind. Haven't you seen a graves/lee sin one-shotting people to victory before?

If the game relies on protecting the ADC, then it also relies on those who protect the ADC. idk dude but as a jhin player, I get squashed hard when I'm against a good team who burst the living hell out of me in a single second before engaging the teamfight.

they tried to fix that by making it possible for other roles to take their place on bot lane, and build different teamcomps.

low elo went fucking haywire. even when they already went back and reverted the entire attempt at bot lane diversity, low elo didnt realize that marksmen were already the strongest class in the duo lane again and kept crying for buffs.

impressed that riot held on for like 4 weeks before they caved in.

still disappointed that they did, but i didnt expect anything more of them, considering theyre always fast to go back on any kind of change that makes marksmen non mandatory.

I feel like it more so has to do with the fact it was done over MULTIPLE patches as midseason, meaning that the changes were extremely overwhelming, and basically gutted almost all of the crit AD pool (I find Jhin and Draven being the only champs who were fine after crit changes that had crit being a part of their main build).

It still kinda needs a bit of work, but honestly its up to AD players to expand their pool with this gift of diversity that Riot gave them. Issue being it was, again, done over multiple patches, and had little time to settle for people to adjust until after the firestorm stopped.

Also doesn't kind of help that people in the AD role (most, not all) right now would rather one trick like two champs instead of trying to slightly expand to more champs in that role they complained, was too small in diversity.

Also people complain about the lack of changes going on currently. They need to realize the fact that with how very unstable midseason ended up being, Riot balance had to refrain from doing the big patch small patch schedule they had because of that. The meta appears to be "stable" right now, but all it takes is one big patch and stuff will shift very hard once again. For better or for worse.

I do feel like that the 3 week patch we had for 8.13 was not a bad idea. Long enough for pro to adjust, and with the mini patch in the middle, casual will be alright with it. I feel like that would be a better balance format going forward.

There needs to be a carry, but doesn't need to be the an AD anymore. You always gotta focus someone, if it's not the ADC, it would have been the APC like Vladimir Swain , the hyper-carry fighter like Jax Fiora

So you're telling me that it's important to keep the glass cannon DPS carry champion alive and doing damage so they can... CARRY fights?

Shocker.
