In all honesty, I don't think a little girl would be going "HoP sKiP jUmP!" after loosing her sister, killing her father and her mother (Basically she killed her whole family) to her own fire. The trauma would change her from a playful teasing toddler into a more serious character.

She didn't get over it, she avoids humans as long as she doesn't need anything as she thinks they are all like her stepmother. Riot used that very excuse to explain why they had no immediate ambition to update Annie. So it doesn't really matter if certain people happen to think she should...

That would be why after a champ like Annie, Ashe, Lissandra, or MF's lore is updated, people would petition for additional features/updates. Although suspicious why Brand, Vayne, Malzahar, Leona are never big topics for similar kinds of additions. Nevermind that none of these champs desperately require a small scale update because their in-game actually fits perfectly as is, voice, visuals and all (with exception belonging to Varus).

A lot of champions need a voice update. But like VGUs, some are probably less of a priority.

the lore tells me annie is a misunderstood traumatized child who simply needs a friend her own age and a caretaker, both of whom can withstand her magic, she isn't evil and she isn't intentionally hurting people, she has never been evil in her out of game lore and I do still believe the quotes are outdated and that they could be changed

I don't take that quote as canon as it does contradict the little lore segment at the end that I quoted above and another comment by someone else from the riot team sort of contradicts it too. See below.

anyway all of this tells us that annies lore isn't set in stone, im simply going to follow published lore on this one, you are free to think what you like though I wish you would be more careful before slapping mental disorders on people and fictional characters, painting everyone evil as mentally ill and everyone mentally ill as evil is something we should avoid, it stigmatizes the mentally ill instead of helping them which is what we should strive to do.

I never said she intentionally hurts people for shits and giggles, she hurts people when she is scared, using Tibbers as a safe place to hide behind, like many young children do with their toys, however Annie, in her fear, funnels a shit ton of magic into him like a wand, and out pops the summon. She doesn't do this for the sole sake of hurting people, she does it for defence.
BUT SHE ENJOYS BURNING THOSE SHE DOES BURN. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY ARE AN ACTUAL THREAT. This is what makes her psychopathic. However there is one major exception, Annie very much intentionally killed her step mother. It was not an accident. The combined weight of losing her mother, then her sister, then her father, then having her step mother attempt to take the last remnant of her birth mother while blaming her for all of the deaths that were actually caused by the Step Mother's own parental favoritism and hatred for Annie, fucking broke the little girl. She snapped, and killed the woman. This not at all coincidentally was her first time summoning Tibbers. This one snap has made her view all people as treacherous as her step mother.

Her current VO was actually a contributing factor to this origin story: the team asked what Annie would have had to go through to find burning other people fun and playful, and decided there was probably some real trauma there. Which means that ANNIE: Origins really is just that - the first spark that leads Annie to develop the personality we see and know in-game.

Also I've been using the wrong term like an idiot, Annie is not a pure Pyschopath, she is a Psychopathic Sadist, she has trouble forming bonds even with people who help her due to her trauma and enjoys inflicting pain on others, and she shows no remorse for any of this.
I will say it's entirely possible for long term treatment to help her recover her conscious, but considering she is currently an essentially hyper sapient feral child, it's unlikely. Also, some bit of context for her lore: Ultimate power ultimately corrupts. She's a timebomb of fire magic waiting to explode. I doubt all that power had 0 affect on her mind.

You know like when a child goes through something traumatic they sometimes block it out by repeating events, actions, etc that made them happy. That is until something triggers the painful memory (in Annie's case, taking Tibbers). I could be wrong but that's how I see Annie. I do agree though that a visual update would be nice.
