Played around 10 games with him today. When you get dived on before you get ult, the 1 second delay on your q is insanely annoying.

I'm pretty sure tha is an intendet weakness, as his passive/W already is quite annoying to deal with as melee, and right out frustraiting once he gets rylais. If his Q would now work as easy selfpeel once someone gets on top of him, playing melees vs him would become nearly worse than vs kallista...

His regular passive doesn't do much damage, and you can just dive inside his W and take no damage. At that point no ult/flash equals dead. Velkoz Ahri Syndra and almost every other mage has easy self peel vs melee.

Vel's E is also not instantaneous, Ahri is suppose to be a highly mobile mage, and Syndra's stun requires either proper positioning around existing spheres or burning two spells, one of which is not instantaneous.

Also the issue with his passive and melee isn't that it does a lot of damage, but that is it completely free damage for Aurelion, with no cost (mana, cd, etc). I don't think it is OP, but I can definitely see how it could be considered annoying (haven't played against him yet).

I completely agree, its more of a handicap than a weakness.
