So can we fix the spell of Smite to be of limited usefulness if you do not buy a jungle item with it? I've been seeing a lot of Singed top with Smite and it is incredibly difficult to punish this play style where he runs from you nearly indefinitely, steals all the jungle farm with little to no effort and comes back to lane and soaks up all the experience from the lane.

The resent buffs have just made this play style even more obnoxious to play vs and it makes for a very difficult and negative experience because of how easy it is to abuse. I am not asking for Singed Nerfs, though I am pretty sure Riot just tuned him down, but I am asking that his ability to use smite without a jungle item be made far less reliable and impactful.

I know other champions do this as well but Singed seems to be one of the largest offenders and I think this would make for a healthier experience for everyone.

You seem to not understand the way singed works at all. HE"S MEANT TO ANNOY YOU. His entire kit is about proxy farming and distracting you. He's not suppose to get caught while he's doing his job. Also, nerfing smite's effectiveness without jungle items would be problematic. Sure it might nerf signed because you don't want to actually try and learn how to stop him, but it would also nerf certain champions that smite is sometimes taken on without jungling. I know that a friend of mine will sometimes take smite for extra exp, and I can also see it being used on other champions, mostly supports who want to help secure a dragon or baron.

But again, Singed is meant to make sure the enemy team is behind in EVERYTHING. He's suppose to proxy lanes, and if it's Singed that's good enough to clear most of the enemy's jungle, more power to him. But, as is the case with Ivern, nobody likes a champion made in a way that allows them to make sure the enemy falls behind. Even though honestly, just learn to play against them.

P.S. There's a reason the first rule of league is NEVER CHASE A SINGED. You waste your time and effort chasing him down, causing you to lose farm, and you also take damage. Even the most careful of players get hit by the poison if they are stupid enough to chase him.

You realize farming jungle without a jungle item vastly reduces the EXP you get right? He's doing it for the gold instead and to piss you off and deny the enemy jungler, not how an actual jungler would need camps for XP.

Hey, thanks! Thats a good idea. Ludens is too weak in tank stats to justify the 10% movespeed. But grabbing ghost/smite and just messing with the enemy jungler is much easier now. Hadn't though of the viability bump of this with recent changes.

I'm gonna try this.

I mean, that won't change anything. Like. At all. He will still take those camps even without smite.

No I get it but talk is cheap.

Ok so you go to stop him. He ults, ghost, or passives away to safety you get nothing he probably still takes the camps and buffs, makes it back to lane and starts all over again. That's not fun for anyone except the singed player.

And once again not every champ can wave clear faster than he can clear and jungle clear. It's a very toxic thing to play against. Whether you care to admit it or not.

Just tried it. And I have to admit the toplane pressure is insane. (when not properly punished) The jungler either has to give up top side control or be too low to gank.

Even more so than normal, because without smite, Singed has trouble actually taking the camps.

It does require your midlaner and jungler to be on point and their top/mid/jungler to be less coordinated. But when it does work it's glorious.
