I feel like the idea behind Pyke was good, but in reality it makes no sense.

The assassin, edgy boi concept for a support is a cool concept, i love it! But i dont think he should literally be an Assassin. A support should be utility, setting up kills, hard cc, stuff like that. But what we have now, is legit just an assassin on welfare, he doesn't really have supportive traits (he has a hook and a stun but seriously look at the AD scaling on them) and he has stealth and an AoE execute, and all of his abilities have insane numbers.

I imagined something like a mix of Talon and Rakan, someone that could maybe jump over walls, latch on and bring the target back with them (either a teammate or an enemy) so it had the feeling of bringing a target to their death, but still fitting what a support should be.

Seriously today ive seen countless people get solo killed by Pyke support, and it just feels so wrong lol. Seeing a support appear in midlane and kill the midlaner solo within like 1 second and just walk away.

His only real supporting is the fact that his ultimate gives gold share from killing things. Otherwise there is literally nothing supportive about him.

Honestly I guarantee you no one's gonna do Pyke support despite how hard Riot's advertising him to be.

An actually working assassin-like support would be a champion that increases the strwnght of his mates to then finish off the enemy.

Something like the champ being being weak and fragile the closer to max hp his oppnents are, but gets powerful when the get low. Something like giving a a debuff to an enemy which increases the damage dealt from all sources, then a hard to hit cc and sme kind of utility for their mates. Pykes ult is the perfect concept and owuld prfectly into what I vaguley described, but kites kit screams "DO ALL THE WORK!" what is missing the point of a support entirely

It is too early for me to give a decent opinion.

That being said, Riot has gone a couple of times with the idea of, trying to advertise a change of behavior, and then having that change of behavior not appear. What would it take, to kill the hypothesis that this is doable? This is a failing idea that has failed many times.

Regardless i've played in the past in metas where assassin supports were successful in-meta ideas. These were oppressive, shitty metas that constricted picks and bans and made playing on bot lane a sucky thing.

fuck Rengar. And keep him fucked.

He really only exists to satisfy the two camps of people who kept on going on about wanting an AD and assassin support. In retrospect Kai'sa is the same for all the people who thought bringing Kassadin's daughter into the game was a good idea. Interesting...
