Why do people use pick rate to conclude a champion is disliked?
Normally goes along the lines of "X champion has a 20%-50% pick rate! People hate this champ!"
Why would we use pick rate when ban rate is a much better indicator of what people dont want to play against? Aren't the champions that people ACTUALLY don't want to play against going to get banned the most?
I don't understand the logic behind people saying a champion like
is despised by the community because of his pickrate when he only has a 5% ban rate. If people really felt he was unfair on unfun to play against, why does he only have a 5% ban rate?
The boards are ridiculous. People just pick a single stat that might somehow agree with their point and then go out of their way to ignore or stomp out any info that says otherwise.
So why is
a villain yet whenever you try to say anything about lets say
who has QUINTUPLE his ban rate people insist she's fine? Why is Lucian a villain yet a champion that people obviously think is MUCH more unfun/unfair to play against is defended tooth and nail?
I already know how this is going to go, but pick rate doesnt mean shit as a stand alone statistic. Pick rate alone doesnt mean jack shit of the communities opinion of the champion. Pick rate alone doesn't mean a damn thing if a champion is over or under powered.
