Rant: Unless you can last kill every possible minion I will be taking some cs

I'm tired of having ADC's complain that I'm stealing their creep kill count as support when they can barely last hit half of them. Unless you are so pro that you won't be missing a single one, I will be taking some.

This is a really poor attitude and you're missing the point completely. If you're playing with an ADC that is struggling with CS then by taking them you are doing two things bad:

  1. you're mentally screwing them, they are probably already frustrated or flustered and by taking CS you're making it worse.

  2. you're cutting down the potential CS for the ADC and making it even WORSE for the team. You're a support so even if you gain some extra gold you don't scale at the same rate so there is no positive to taking hold from the ADC.

What I mean is this: pretend that there was 100 potential CS and they were going to get 55 of them... if you take 10 then that leaves 90 potential remaining and they are probably only getting 49-50 of those. That sucks a lot for the ADC but doesn't really gain you anything.

Instead what you should be doing is focusing on helping make it easy for the ADC with vision, lane pressure and by doing your best not to disturb their CSing.

I am a top main but I play a lot of ADC as well and I personally hate when a support attempts to "help" me CS by auto-attacking when we aren't fast pushing or under tower before I can one hit casters.

So if I ask you to stop... stop. It doesn't matter if you think it's helpful or better, all you're doing is ruining my CS rhythm. I know how many attacks I need, I know how to time, I don't need your help.

Thisis spot on.

I might like to add that it increases the chance of rage quits.

I know for a fact when I used to main ADC if my support was purposely fucking with minions I'd just afk.

I am sorry but I disagree with you entirely, if by your example there is 100 cs and they will only get half. I damn well will snatch some as support, no reason for it to go to waste. IT comes down to who you are playing as support and how good you are. I try not to take cs if my ADC is good, but if they are garbage and I know I can make a better impact than them, there is no reason not to, I am not saying purposely take everything they are trying to get, but I am not apologizing either if I take some if they were going to miss it most likely anyways. I know ADC mains will cry about this but support doesn't have to bend over back for them. Its no different than a jungler not wasting time on a bad lane, if the ADC is bad, why go down with them? If a jungler ganking a terrible player's lane doesn't achieve anything since they will still die in a 1v1 then why bother? Gank the lanes that are competent and pray the terrible player has more than 2 IQ and plays passive and builds tanky.

Supports nowadays aren't Leona or Braum, its things like Annie, Brand, Fiddle, Malz and such, and they VERY well work better than the ADC for most of the game and make better use of the money than them anyways early on. ADCs job nowadays is to basically have a backseat easy ride for the early game while the support and jungler does most of the work bot lane anyways.

And a lot of players hate off-meta supports purely for the fact that THEY DONT WORK IN A DUAL LANE WITHOUT CS OR KILLS.

Traditional supports are designed to be useful with their KIT and NOT reliant on items.

Erm. I dunno what you are talking about. They work even better generally. A Braum or Janna are annoying, but can be basically ignored while you kill the ADC. They just try to make it as annoying as possible to do, or be as annoying as possible to get their ADC to kill you.

Try to ignore a Fiddle or Brand or Annie and see what happens? Even if they somehow manage to kill your ADC, they will get a double out of it most likely. The best CC is death after all. And they all do that very well on top of their own CC.

Again my favorite sup is Fiddle, I poke the shit out of them with crows which also silences, I have a fear, and I can murder them as well as can't easily be poked down since Fiddle can just drain it all back.

Nowadays having a normal support like Braum or maybe even Blitz and Thresh is an easy lane. I am much more scared about going against a Brand support than any normal support. That is not to say a great Blitz or Thresh will ruin your day, but a Brand on the same level are way worse. Hell an Annie or Fiddle WANTS to be grabbed. Annie gets a free stun and Fiddle gets to fear someone easily and do his crow drain combo which does A LOT of damage, if not outright kill whoever it is on. I lost count of how many times a Blitz managed to grab me as Fiddle only for me to casually kill his ADC because they were right next to each other and I just used my entire kit and killed him before he could even attempt to truly escape.

They go POP because they have no kills, no cs, no items and don't even hurt. Yes, sometimes a mage support will do well. But in my experience they fail instead and offer absolutely nothing to their team; not even vision because their pride won't allow them to buy a sightstone.

Hell an Annie or Fiddle WANTS to be grabbed.

A Braum, Leona and Alistar also all want to be grabbed. Sometimes even a Janna wants to be grabbed because it sets you up perfectly to divide their team. Hell, I've baited a grab when I'm playing Sona because even if I die to it, that four man ult on the backline is worth it.

Blitz managed to grab me . used my entire kit . Fidd support

That says more about the Blitz' skill level than it does yours, honestly.

so pushing your lane to enemy tower and opening a gank line is exactly why I love it when enemy supports take cs, makes free double kills bot lane

I play Fiddle support, I basically tell the ADCs to expect to lose cs due to his crow poke. Works in the end basically everytime since Fiddle literally single handedly scares the enemies away.

the problem is that it pushes the lane down faster

as a support main I do just that, I support, there is no need to steal cs. if they are having a hard time just try to keep a little in front of turret and let them try to farm. you just got to keep them alive and ping smart for the enemy before they kill them. and if you are stealing the cs the horrid adc you were just complaining about will only get worse and worse until they pretty much give up on the game completely, or worse leave lane and die to the others may the stars guide you
