Ok, so grades are arbitrary right?

Just had a game where our wu top went 22/1/1 and they FF at 20 minutes. He got an A+...

Yet our support EZ, 4/4/11 got S-

well they get the S- cuz no one plays EZ support... therefore there is nothing to compare the stats of that champ in that role to so by default his grade is inflated

He proabably warded better, had a higher skillshot accuracy, and probably had a better kill spread (getting kills on more of the enemy team, killing the same person over and over doesn't help your grade much, or get you that much gold for that matter).

#KDA DOES NOT DETEMINE GRADING.

it is part of it.

But it does not determine it.

but everyone is seeming to miss the part about the Ezreal support this player claims got an S- and the fact that EZ isnt normally played at support so there is no other games to judge his performance at EZ support against and his grade by default is inflated because part of the grading system judges your game and stats vs others in similar elos with the same champ... and depending on how you preform in comparison to the other games by X champ in X role is how your grade is calculated

I'm not missing that part. I'm focusing on what I'm focusing because that is what all these threads are focusing on. All these threads by people who don't read and don't google submitting their poor performance in some stupid blood bath of a game going "I went 21/6/and whatever! Where is my S++?! Rito fix" because 21 is a big number.

Including the OP, his intentions were "look at this guys K/D! It's so much worse but he got an S-!"

I know the Ez support is rare, and that he probably got a low S because he laid a lot wards and a lot poke and because it's rare. But the main point to get through to these people, in hopes that they stop making these threads, is that K/D says next to nothing about how well you play League and you don't get S grades from kills because this isn't team deathmatch.

Yes. It's completely arbitrary. They took time and effort to make system that would assign people random grades, for no reason at all.
