Iceborn Gauntlet: once again they nerf an item for everyone, because 2 champions abuse it

They're going for tanks in general, because tanks have earned it. You may have noticed how the "sunfire-Iceborn" combo is dominating top lanes, and the large majority of strong top laners right now are the guys who can build that. It is too strong on the people it is intended for, and they're shoving out most everyone else. You've got Graves, Ryze, and then sunfire/iceborn as far as the eye can see.

For once, tanks are getting an item nerfed for Ezreal instead of the other way around. It feels good.

From what the explanation in the patch notes was it seems like they are nerfing it because of tanks not ez. They said they didn't like champs being able to do significant damage with it without building damage items. That doesn't describe Ez's use of it at all.
