I find long fights to be more fun and exciting than 2 second ones because I got one shot.

Like, look how exciting this shit is to watch. This was in season 5, before the game went to complete utter power creep nonsense. Most of the games drug out over 25-30 minutes and weren't always one sided messes. Even if you were behind, you still had the option of winning the game via teamfighting.

You never really knew who was going to win the fight, it was a means of straight up outplaying your opponent, now it's "I hit you first so I won".

Can we please bring this back?

The end of season 5 remains in my heart to be one of the more fun seasons.

plus you have more outplay potential in long fights.

the thing is, after the old runes went out. armor and magic resist suffered. it's not about the "op shiz" but more about the resistances that got taken away, since most champion took armor and magic resist in the old runes and the old masteries

? Care to elaborate instead of calling people stupid?

Or is this a circle jerk where no outside opinions can be said?

Boards are a massive circle jerk since weeks. There are many tanks and bruisers in that teamfights in the video. That's why they are long. Would be similar in today's meta.

These aren't particularly long fights.

These are particularly good fights. They're fought by teams who know how to handle themselves, and as a result don't just smash into eachother resulting in a tidal wave of death. Also, neither side if massively ahead of the other in gold.

Fights like this are far from uncommon still; you just don't see them in Silver - where there's generally gigantic gold differences.

Here's some more memories of how amazing this game used to be:

Feelsbadman, i miss the shit out of this meta

I agree with your post, longer teamfights are significantly more fun and allows for much more skill expression

I think its fair to note that this video was mostly comprised of teamfights during the tank/juggernaut meta as well, so it's no surprising these fights took longer. I personally preferred it, but I understand the juggernaut meta was suffocating for many players as well

Blaaa blaaa blaaa. Every day a new thread with this bullshit. I won 3 of my last games when we were totally behind. But we could catch up with good and exiting teamfights and good macro/decision-making.
