Champ balancing is going downhill faster and faster

It's so evident with how Riot has balanced over the years that they aren't learning from mistakes and blindly throw darts at a board to see if they hit the "right" mark on buffs and nerfs.

When they went to nerf Azir they took away half his identity and made him into yet another generic burst mage focused on zoning. Instead of forcing him back into his DPS hyper carry roots. His wall helped make him more of a control mage than a damage mage. Now he is just generic and honestly lost a lot of reason to play him as the fun got sapped out. Hence, I don't think he will see much play unless he is good or bad at the time.

Cassiopeia was the DoT mage. Instead of emphasizing her role on rework, they turned her into the sustain machine gun mage who vomits a random semi circle of poison. Seriously I would rather have seen her spray an actual semi circle of poison over the semi circle made of circles. Because apparently what is fun about playing and getting killed by her is E mashing an on target spell.

The masteries are still wreaking havoc on the game forcing it to end much faster and Riot is yet again try to enforce the meta. Like seriously if an enemy team lane swaps that isn't a problem Riot. It is up to the enemy team to deal with it. It's like discouraging back door champs. Sure some may be good at it. But the enemy team is supposed to adapt and deal with it. Forcing the player base to conform just makes the game more and more boring.

Meanwhile champs like Nasus are rotting in the gutter with 0 attention to the fact they don't have roles anymore because of things like "juggernauts" which technically was their old role until a select few champs were made 100% better at their job.

And let's not forget the random ass buffs to Irelia 's early game but a huge nerf to her late game leaving me confused at how you deal with her now. She's being encouraged to split push, but she's a bruiser. I don't understand.

Mordekaiser the failed let's make a melee carry champ that can go bot lane because oh wait giving someone a shit ton of free stuff is a bad idea and we still haven't realized he can't be useful as long as he gets a free pet dragon (literally free is he participates and his team kills it) and doesn't even delay his ult on people.

Yasuo the epitome of cancer because of his feast or famine play style. He either destroys you because he snowballed or does absolutely nothing because he got shut down by someone who hard counters him. He needs a rework. And he has been ignored even after several indirect buffs to him at the start of the season.

This is mostly complain about just how much Riot forces the game to shift metas instead of trying to actually fix the game. Seriously they only have 3 settings. Changing it insignificantly, major changes (usually aimed at the wrong aspects), or completely ignoring it. Maybe stop just fucking trying to spot light the LCS all the damn time and focus on the actual player base. Seriously Riot, your character design and skin design are for the most part really on point (except that you do ignore really old skins, even Ultimates), but your balancing and releases are really bad.

I like Cass. I think she does have a unique playstyle and while I'd like a passive a little more interesting on her, she is fairly balanced.

Yasou is meant to be a hyper carry who when unable to get kills isn't that useful. It's the way they designed him from the get go. The problem is some of his mechanics just aren't fun to play against. You don't feel like you've given a fair shake when he can block a well placed skill shot with the click of a button.

Morde's ally mechanic was poorly thought out and a failed experiment. He could easily be balanced if they got rid of that mechanic and adjusted accordingly.

I somewhat agree their balancing this season has been a little off. They go ham on either nerfs or buffs instead of starting with small reasonable changes. I've seen a lot of nerfing champs who don't need nerfs and buffing champs (Riven incoming) who don't need buffs.

The point is. Yasuo can just panic vomit out of a windwall in the complete wrong direction and still block most abilities and still have a strong kit without it.

Morde just never needed that to happen as he had a really good spot and just needed fine tuning.

Cassiopia still does not fit the poison snake archetype. She just acts like a machine gun that only runs out of ammo if they do not have a DoT on them. If I wanted to play a button mashing champ I would play Ryze because all they even do is make him more and more button mashing friendly and that is at least what his kit is about.
