the perseverence rune looks bad tbh.

i just dont like the dependence on having to blow summoner spells to access the bonuses. its like this rune is only made to be good on junglers. blowing smite isnt much of a tradeoff.

but if youre running anything else, you probably wouldnt even think about putting a summoner on cooldown just to get something out of the rune.

would rather prefer if it worked like fearless and gave you the full tencacity and resistances for a couple seconds upon taking damage or upon getting cced.

or maybe make it like legendary guardian where the tenacity and slow resistance becomes stronger with more enemies nearby (15% + 3% per enemy champion) and have the resistances trigger below 80% (7% bonus resistances) and 40% (increases to 14% bonus resistances) health.

the worst part is, that with a jungler rune in that row and a support specific rune aswell, it only leaves demolish as a viable option for everybody else.

You aren't burning summoner spells just for this effect.

You are using the summoner spells for their normal purpose, and you're getting another effect on top of that.

It's 10 seconds of 25% tenacity and 25% slow resistance. If you burn a summoner in the midst of a fight (which is a pretty damn common thing to do), the buff will probably last for most of the encounter.

The 7/14% resistances are an afterthought, but a pretty decent one; if you TP to get in a fight, and flash to get on a carry, those extra resistances are gonna make you all the more annoying to deal with.

Pretty much this ^

The idea behind Perseverance is not to just simply burn your summoners for the effect. What it is designed to do is give you a safety net when you use your Summoners. Whether it's chasing down a foe or trying to make your escape, it helps facilitate those, and afterwards, give a bit of extra durability to you while they recharge.

i understand that, but the mastery really favours summoner 11 since its more often available and very expendable.

this means junglers with smite can take fights more often and benefit in more fights from the tenacity. they basically get the bonus on every gank while laners have to play conservative with their summoner spells.

most of the time as a laner you will just not get the bonus of the mastery when youre fighting or trading with your opponent. only maybe once every couple minutes when youre really deciding to all in.

yes an no. keystones are fine. assassins will just keep running thunderlord.

stacking ad or ap on champion + ward takedowns seems pretty decent. the other two runes in the first row look like theyre both made for supports, which is a bit dumb.

the second row seems ok with either on hit damage or on hit heal that scales with ad/ap.

the last row kinda sucks. the bounty hunter rewards dont seem too great for the efford you have to put in. if ravenous hunter lost the heal reduction on aoe abilites it would be good.

i dont see who would really run Predator except Heca for the move speed I guess. And Dark Harvest looks like a joke to me but thats aight, thunderlords is gud

at least the item cd one doesnt seem that bad if you can stack it http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/preseason-update/8100-8112?build=10121326 = 59 second cooldown Zhonyas? xd

predator is essentially summoner 6 if you want the summoner but dont want to sacrifice the summoner spell slot.

there is a sorcery rune that grants you 3% ms and gives you 8% of your bonus movement speed as ad or ap.

i can see these being used in combination on assassin roams for big opening blows.

Hm, assassin Kayn with that thing could work I guess. But even at 700 move speed with mobis + kayn E and everything, youd still "only" get 28 AD, so... meh lol.

You could always take summoner 21 for its low cooldown, since it's geared for surviving short-duration burst already.

you could make this argument right now, but who does that?

we have more important summoners to take on tanks and fighters. on a top laner you usually want ignite or tp, because otherwise youre giving up heal reduction or global presence.

the effect of the rune itself is pretty good. the condition just sucks ass.

The effect is also persistent. When you TP in, you have a constant 7% bonus resistances until TP is off cooldown.

the tenacity isnt though. if youre running summoner 11 you basically always have this effect readily available.

i see this being used for ganks. the jungler swoops into your lane, smites you for the debuff and immediately gainst the tenacity and resistances.

i just dont like how situational the trigger is and how its bound to your summoner spells.

making a new version of legendary guardian or fearless would have been so much more practical.

for example they could have made this into an "anti chain cc" rune and have the tenacity and slow resistance last about 4 seconds and stack up every second youre cced and extend its duration. when the buff falls off, because you stop being cced for 4 seconds, the rune is put on like a 20 second cooldown.

there would have been so many better options.

The flash initiate combo is important for a fair number of tanks who will subsequently expect for one of their summoner's to go on cooldown just as a fight starts. Being very hard to peel in those situations while also having a nice defensive boost in that fight and subsequent fights before flash comes off cooldown could be quite nice.
