Bottom lane is still deciding the game, and it's even worse than before

Instead of a fed ADC soloing your entire team, we now have the losing bottom lane being completely invalid for the entire game because they can't enter lane and can be pretty safely dived at any point while they're behind, which gives them no way to catch up, essentially turning the game into a 3v5.

This is dumb. Why is it so hard to move agency to other lanes?

Because 4 out of the 10 players in the game are in bottom lane? So many people swore it was the ADCs that were the reason bot lane seemed so important, but it's actually pretty simple math.

No... It is the reason why bot lane is so incredibly important. Being an AD champion and snowballing, while at the same time denying your opponents the ability to fall back and regroup, is what makes the current state of the game so toxic.

If you notice, the whole "bruiser bot" thing only works when they close the game out before the ADC they shut down comes online. And it ONLY works because marksmen players are so extremely bad at adapting to change - you see it every time theres a meta shift; its almost always marksmen mains complaining. Right now its popular to hate on tanks and bruisers because "waaah i got killed at all!" when... They failed to kite or disengage, expecting to five shot a fed, tanky champion because at the time they used to fight them its what they would do.

Adapting as adc... Do adc stop the need to farm?no, adc needs a lot. Do they give adc more hp?no adc are squishy Do they give adc more escapes?no, adc has their same kit

I see , let s throw a word "adapting" in a discussion and feel smart and might.

Adapting refers to changing playstyles and itemization on the fly to better perform in the situation at hand. Marksmen received minor nerfs to their early game and their burst per second was heavily reduced in favor of a more effective dps based stream of true damage, making them more effective against tanks and less effective against squishies. This whole "the sky is falling" thing is a direct result of marksmen mains being unable to adapt to the changes applied to them. They will get used to them, not adapt to them. Over the month following the changes their win rates will improve and the meta will once again normalize.

And if theres still a reasonable number of instances of alternative bots... Cool beans. Diversity is great.

If you still dont understand lets get some perspective yeah? Draven has a lifesteal build consisting of BT, botrk, deaths dance, phantom dancer, and zerkers booties. You, the allied marksmen against the draven, have a build consisting of IE, Shiv, RFC, zerkers boots, and an open item slot. Draven often tries to simply all in you.

When thinking about itemization do you: A) Purchase a BT and hope to out sustain draven? B) Purchase a warmogs and hope to kill him before he kills you because your crit build out damages him? C) Purchase your normal last item? D) Purchase a mortal reminder?

When thinking about playstyle do you: A) Play safer and try to stay out of his range whenever possible? B) Always travel with your support and another team mate? C) Continue to play as you always have? D) A and B at the same time?

Most marksmen would do C and C. They dont really adapt to change, and any team fight would revolve around the allied team getting a great engage and the marksmen dps quickly turning a 5v5 into a 4v5, a 4v5 into a 3v4, a 3v4 into a 2v4, and a 2v3 into an ace.

You should probably keep your headcanon narratives and random anecdotes to yourself if you want to make coherent statements.

Also, "everyone else/(insert group of people here) are just bad" is not a compelling argument or explanation to anything.

I never said they were bad at the game. Just bad at adapting to change. Its not headcannon either, its a trend weve seen since the inception of crit years ago; Every time theres a meta shift the last position to shift is the marksman. The last position to change their itemization is the marksman. The most vocal position talking about these changes and why theyre aweful for them is the marksman.

You say they're bad at adapting, which is still just blaming other people for being bad at what you are suggesting is necessary. And I'm almost 100% positive you aren't qualified to make that statement on any factual level, hence, 'headcanon'.

Also, I could respond in detail on how marksmen, the glass cannon, ranged DPS class that generally lacks mobility and CC abilities are not very conducive to building or playing differently, and how in this patch in particular it indisputably WAS the marksman that got gutted, so of COURSE they would be the most vocal about it - but that's beside the point.

My point was that no matter what type of champions end up in bot lane, as long as it's the duo lane it will contain 40% of the players in the game. So it's only natural that the outcome of that lane would have more impact on the game than your solo lanes. Simply by the numbers.

And you will see that clearly when other champs are bot.

But you apparently just use that as an opportunity to talk shit on ADC players anyway, so [sg-lulu]

"Generally lacks mobility and CC"? Almost every marksman has some form of mobility and CC, in addition to the highest ranges in the game with the highest sustained burst damage. No ones disputing that marksmen got nerfs - they werent "GUTTED" like you claim either; their early game was nerfed and their burst per second was nerfed. Im stating a fact; The current "meta shift" were seeing is due entirely to marksmen mains not being able to adapt to changes very well. Give it a month and things will normalize... Like they do with mages and junglers. After every itemization change theres a period of unrest, then the dust settles and the same old faces crop up again.

Duo lanes also dont have the impact you claim they do. Its the AD champion; If you watch some of these alternative bot games its either; A) Always a roflstomp because the traditional bot lane cant adapt to the oddness (we saw this with ziggs way back when, actually). B) They shut down the enemy marksmen and then push hard down mid. C) The alternative bot lane strat ends up losing the game as they either didnt shut down the enemy marksman or the enemy team stalled long enough to get online.

One thing i will give though, buying IE right now feels like a bad choice because you need to overcap crit to do it. Giving 20% crit in the tree would go a long way to making traditional marksman builds feel better.
Maybe replace legend: tenacity with crit?

Turns out the only duo lane in the game is the most important lane
