- They are not here to "support", hence they do not buy sightstone.
I have even seen multiple occasions of them forcing ADCs to buy stone.
Even as an enemy you can predict this build path and camp the hell out of them.
It is boring.
I've bought sightstone on all the times I've played Lux support. And no, I can't force my adc to buy sightstone, that's 800 gold taken away from them buying their first item. That's mean.
- High ap scaling, feast of famine.
Why on earth you will even play her when zyra, brand, velkoz are available.
Oh, I get it. Because she is a teenage girl. Like is there ANY justification that she perfoms ABOVE those.
Yeah, it is pretty dependent on many factors of not getting screwed over during laning phase since your job as Lux (even as support) is to deal damage, I agree with you. But honestly it's just because I think of who to play and I think, "I wanna play Lux, why not?" as well as because I'm not used to Zyra or Velkoz in the support role and I still need to practice.
Star Guardian Lux is my main motivation to keep playing her, you caught me.
- Positioning.
Their positioning screams "ADC you be bait I KILL. You take cc."
How on earth in their minds think that this will not get abused and backfire?
Like honestly is this a tactic suitable for ranked games.
Like the other guys have said, as a squishy support with a two spell combo (I'm not counting shield since that doesn't deal damage) that relies on me landing one or both of them, I need to stand at a distance that I can be safe but still be in a threatening range. Besides, if I was in the front line, my whole team would be on my ass for being that close to two enemy champs.
As a tactic, not really, there are better choices. But there are people who enjoy playing her support as opposed to mid (Support Lux clicks better with me, I don't know why)
