Gnar Q Cooldown during transformations

As anyone who has played Gnar knows, you can pick up Mega Gnar's boulder in Mini Gnar and you will get the lowered cooldown for Mini Gnar's Boomerang Throw. The same thing works for catching Mini Gnar's boomerang in Mega Gnar. I was wondering if anybody knows if the cooldown reduction is based off of Mini Gnar's boomerang reduction (scaling with his ult passive), if it is based off of Mega Gnar's (constant 60%), or if it switches with his forms. If anyone knows, could they please comment it below? Thanks!

The 45 - 60% cooldown reduction is calculated at the moment this ability is used, not when the boomerang is caught/boulder is picked up.
