Why Kha'Zix has been balanced only around the jungle?
In the past,
received numerous nerfs, largely because using him in the jungle allowed him to take the most advantage of his roaming potential. However, Riot didn't took into consideration that Kha'Zix was also a viable solo laner, and he used to be very good there; but the nerfs greatly impacted his solo laning potential.
You can STILL play top/mid lane Kha'Zix. I often do that against some squishier mages and bruisers. However, he is now way easier to counter and still has many of the problems that he would have even if I was playing him at the jungle; namely the isolation that is too hard to achieve and his burst is still low compared to other assassins.
Still, I would like to know why Riot balanced him just for the jungle. Don't believe this? Just look at some of the nerfs: for example, towers now count as allies when it comes to denying isolation. The isolation radius has also been increased, which makes it hard to get someone isolated when there are nearby minions. Even some of the buffs were directed to his jungle potential: for example, Kha'Zix's Spikes doing 20% increased damage to monsters.
Riot essentially did to Kha'Zix the same thing that they did to
, a champion that you are talking so much. You can still play solo lane Mordekaiser, but it is not as effective because he has been largely balanced around the bot lane. In the same way, you can still play solo lane Kha'Zix, but it is not as effective because he has been largely balanced around the jungle.
